Can’t believe the SA yellow wasn’t turned red

Q from a naive fan: on the NZ penalty late in the 1st half, why weren’t they allowed to take a line out at the goal line at end of advantage, where the SA player slid the ball into touch? Does the penalty have to go “back” to the point of infraction, even if advantage takes them forward?

Told the same joke to two sections of Intro Psych today, and it bombed both times. Clearly I have to resign, right?
