We didn't want to lose our forum :-) So set to and read the hundreds of pages of documents and did the risk assessments, but to be able to comply we needed some additional software, and some help. It did raise the running costs but it was the paperwork that was the hardest - took a month or two.
The Hamster Forum is non-profit - our annual donations request is now live. It has been an expensive year complying with the online safety act. If you wish to make a donation, it will be gratefully received! Our paypal link is in the forum link below.

The 5 hamsters Iโve had over the years and their very silly names. (4 out of the 5 were rescues)
1-Ripley (Ripley Ham Salad)
2- Waffles (Potato Waffles/Tank)
3- Betty White (Grandma Egg)
4- Buffy (Buffy the Hampire Slayer/Bufster Rhymes)
5- Tanuki (Racocoonie/Opossum Face)
Great names! Whatever we call them they end up with various nicknames. We had Charlie, Nugget, (Nuggety), Newt (short for Newtus Hamsterus but usually called Newtie Pootie), Pickle (ickle Pickle), Raffy (Raffykins or Raff Monster), Pip (toodle pip). Currently have Tino and Higgins (Higgy).
He's such a gorgeous colour :-)
This is my other Syrian Hamster, Higgins, being cute and funny - he really made me laugh out loud!
