People bringing up legitimate concerns is “soap boxing” jabs at genderqueer people’s identities should “lighten up” and don’t even dare to donate something to the charity auction unless you want the MC shitting on your hard work in front of thousands of people, but hey, it’s been going on for years
you’re already well known as the con that has the most hostile staff toward attendees, yelling and threatening them, pretending like everyone who disagrees is an idiot, and not even to mention all the bullshit about not respecting women or trans members of the furry fandom, this bullshit is constant
It’s just even funnier when you have such an obvious W as listening to people and changing something as simple as an ad hoc charity incentive, right in front of you, but an inability to admit fault or be wrong just makes them atomise any such way forward, it’s actually quite baffling

Usually Valve requires derivative works of their games be hosted through Steam now days, it was one of the deal breakers for the Portal 64 fan project that even with the change to Nintendo proof libraries, it couldn't reasonably be hosted on Steam, not sure if it's a control or data collection thing
