While I'm hyped for the FSS build, this one doesn't require as much attention. And God do I love the MGSD. This one is no exception, extremely lovely engineering and very clever gimmicks. The torso on this one is a bit more refined than the last. Wonderful stuff.

大昔読んだ松本零士御大の初期の戦場まんがで零戦とワイルドキャットのパイロットの話があった。たった一人のパイロットのために敵制空権に近い地域にカタリナを派遣してきたのを見て、零戦のパイロットが「オレたちは基本的なところで負けてるんじゃないか」と思うシーンがありました。でも今回負けるのはアメリカだなあ。
そのマンガは朝日ソノラマだったか、「電光オズマ」最終巻のページ合わせに載っていた。まだ御大のキャラクターが手塚治虫調だった頃です。
電書で読めますかね。

I genuinely live by the modeling ethos that if it breaks, you CAN fix it.

Layered and sprayed a few different blues until I found the combinations closest to what I used. Tomorrow I'll run these two colors over a few more spoons to test variation and see what I find.

Working on revitalizing an old project today. Fixing two year old scruffy enamel wash is very fun.

Once this is clean I'll regloss coat it and do a new wash where it's needed. Gonna try using Oils this time, should be smoother and easier to clean.

This is my recent build for Bandai's #30MinuteLabel contest last weekend. Lots of new foam and paint techniques here and I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

The lower back! The front will be hidden anyway.
The rear is opened and the back side is created to insert the internal parts.

Thanks! Their designs are really nice once you get them together, and the proportions are pretty good too.

They're definitely over engineered, so the builds are kind of a slog. 😅

I painted this shortly after it was released, and built the base for it a few months later. Finally got some really detailed shots of it the other weekend and while it was hard to get the digital marble pattern, I'm happy with this look.

Last weekend my good friends at Onthreephotography asked me to bring some subjects for photos, and Big 0 was at the top of their list.
