The corner of strange& interesting early digital effects is growing. Hello Yamaha REV5, I think we are becoming friends.

i started using Max for lasers control long before TD was able to do anything in this domain, which means I have quite some experience how to do it in that environment. I can do a few things this way which would be hard or impossible to achieve with a platform that depends on a fixed frame rate.

I made a M4L plugin for Ableton Live 12, mainly for my own needs, perhaps others find it useful, too. roberthenke.com/technology/s...

Congratulations to LaserAnimation Sollinger for 40 years of building the most advanced graphics lasers in the world. None of my installations and performances would be possible without your technology - and without your generosity, too. Video from 'Fragile Territories' (2011)

Amazing read as usual. Thank you so much once again for sharing these in-depth insights into this fascinating world. This is extremely inspirational.

dramatic development unfolding: newly ordered battery holder is too big. briefly considered the option of a dirty hack, but have seen machines 'serviced' like that before and decided against it. ordered correct ones now.

like the one in the DRP 20. But I came prepared with my Hakko desoldering tool and a new battery holder. Next replacement in 20? years should be easier :-)

The questionable joy of collecting old hardware: had great fun yesterday making new reverb presets with my mighty Dynacord DRP 20 reverb, just to learn today that they are all gone - the memory battery needs to be replaced. Meeeh :-( At least the unit is easy to service.
