Going to highlight some ex-Rangers youngsters that are performing well this season.

Starting off with Matty Yates!

The 22-year-old has 5G/6A in 15 appearances this season for Stenny.

All five goals have come in the last six games as have three of the assists.

HE’S ON FIRE 🔥

🧵If you’ve been too busy paying attention to Barron, Miller and Watson then it’s time to give Lyall Cameron the spotlight he deserves.

With Luke McCowan leaving in the summer he’s really kicked his performance levels up a notch.

Let’s look at him 👇🏻

What are your thoughts on Lyall Cameron?

It will be interesting to see if he stays in Dundee in January, I can imagine there’ll be clubs from outwith Scotland that will have their eyes on him.

On a free/cut-price deal, he’s a no brainer signing for most clubs.

So, what are his strengths?

- Ball carrying
- Box crashing
- Chance creation
- Tenacity
- Vision

His ability to be in the right place at the right time to get shots away would make plenty of strikers jealous!

He’s a quality player and one that can step up a level.

1 year ago 0 0 1 0

His excellent numbers don’t stop there though;

Joint 4th in G/A
Joint 3rd in chances created Per90

His performances have helped Dundee get to 5th in the table, level with Motherwell who have a game in hand though.

1 year ago 0 0 1 0

Luke McCowan scored ten and had five assists in 37 Premiership appearances last season.

In 15 appearances, so far, Cameron has four goals and four assists and is on track to eclipse McCowan’s impressive numbers!

He’s 14th in the goal scoring charts and joint 4th in assists.

1 year ago 0 0 1 0

Dundee sold Luke McCowan late in the summer window and didn’t replace him, probably because they didn’t have the chance!

This gave Lyall Cameron the chance to become the main man and he’s definitely grabbed it!

In 21 total appearances he has seven goals and nine assists.

I think there’s an arguement to be made that, since he came back into the side, Nico Raskin has been Rangers best player this season.

Thought he was superb AGAIN last night, covers every blade of grass and carries the ball so well.

What have you made of his recent form?

1 year ago 6 0 1 0

His pace and power allow him to get into good positions and drive up and down the wing.

However, it’s his end product in those areas that’s holding him back from kicking on to another level.

I really think he can be a top full back.
