(1/1) general help and tips
- do not use tissues or toilet paper to clean the wound.
-DO NOT use hydrogen peroxide or alcohol. yeowch.
- do not use a harsh soap. if you have no mild, unscented soaps, use warm water.
(1/1) anything deeper than beans
- seek medical attention immediately. it is not worth the risk to try and keep it hidden.
- only if medical attention is ENTIRELY unavailable, follow same procedure as beans.
(1/1) beans - medial attention
beans look like beads or bean shapes under the skin. seek medical attention. if you can’t:
- take a warm, damp cloth and very gently clean around the wound. use sterile wipes if possible.
-use butterfly plaster to keep it closed. change and clean frequently.
(2/2) styros
- if you cannot do either of those, take a rag or towel and wet it with warm water, and gently wipe the wound.
- use plaster, bandaids, etc to keep it covered. clean and change 2x a day.
(1/2) styros - second layer of skin
styros vary a little more, but typically will turn white before willing with blood.
- wash the wound. DO NOT use hand or dish soap. use a mild, unscented soap and try to avoid getting it inside the cut.
-use antiseptic wipes if possible and apply ointment.
(2/2) cat scratches
- if you cannot do either of those, take a rag or towel and wet it with warm water, and gently wipe the wound.
- use plaster, bandaids, etc to keep it covered.
(1/2) cat scratches - first layer of skin
cat scratches have little bleeding, and tend to form smaller beads of blood if they do.
- wash the wound. DO NOT use hand or dish soap. use a mild, unscented soap and try to avoid getting it inside the cut.
-use antiseptic wipes if possible.
