I'm usually skeptical about video game to movie adaptations, but then I remember that Alex Garland gave us the horrible bear monster from Annihilation and Rory Kinnear giving birth to himself, so I think he will probably understands Elden Ring's uuuh..vibe.

I'm looking forward to Alex Garland's take on Elden Ring because I'll finally be able to really enjoy the "lore" of Elden Ring without being murdered by stupid fucking ratdogs for the 200000th time in a row.
oh wow if T bought that studio in NZ maybe I'll finally get that Incal adaptation. I've only waited 200 years
the BIG EGG 👀
the egg has finally hatched! It's only been *mumbles* a few years😓

ya! 😭 💜 🐇
obv the site is extremely bare-bones right now. I want to make more art, and add more features as it grows, as I (very slowly) add more stories. I think it'll be fun to watch it evolve. Please let me know if anyone has trouble with the file, I'm very stupid when it comes to websites and technology.
My fantasy adventure book is finally ready to download! For free! A tale of giants, cursed rabbits, and sword-fighting.
Special thanks to my dear friend @jackuntiljune.bsky.social for being a wonderful editor and to @roximonoxide.bsky.social for helping me with the site! 🐝

yes! dhmis is classic, they would be a perfect match
when Chris Fleming eventually crosses over into movies, I really want him to star in a PeeWee/UHF style comedy where he can just be himself in a world of wacky characters. I know there is no joy or wonderment in movie comedies anymore, but I think it's what we all need right now.
I want to thank the Internet Archive for giving me access to "The Biology of farm pests" from 1872 in order to properly cite an outdated microbiological term, so I could justify using it as the title for my thesis.
All because I like to paint genderless blobs dancing around with mushrooms.
anyway thank you for coming to my ted talk. That's how I would fix everything. At the moment, the only movie I can think of that qualifies as lo-film (claiming the term now) is Hundreds of Beavers.
and yes, I know that's the spirit of Indie Film, but nowadays there's very little "indie" in indie film. I also realize the Dogma movement in the 90s was this, but their strict rules were "let's make movies that are not fun." I'm talking about making fun stories using pool noodles as swords
This sounds silly, but then you'd get really clever use of recyclable props, handcrafted sets, and you wouldn't have to rely on studios run by actual psychopaths. If Littlest Pet Shop vids on YouTube made by 12-year-old kids are fondly remembered, why not lo-fi movies
Imagine if a movie like (as an example) Master and Commander had the same level of writing, acting, and film quality, but it's set in a big floaty boat in a parking lot.
I think we should make lo-fi film a thing. Hear me out.
-Put all the money into writing.
-Put all the money into making the actual film and color grading look decent.
-special fx done with cardboard, clever editing, xmas lights, and matte paintings.
-cast unknowns only.
....but what if I wanted to play Pokopia...
60 days is almost up and I'll be able to FINALLY customize my book website 🔥 sheeeesh it's taken me a long time. Hold tight
if you ever watch the 1973 version of The Three Musketeers, he shows up unexpectedly in that one as well. (His dad, not Rory.)
rory kinnear always pops up when you least expect it
oh yeah, the director, Kornél Mundruczó has a Cannes presence ( I believe he won in one of the categories at some point). I'm not sure if A Place to Be will be at Cannes or not, but they premiered fuckin Beetlejuice 2 at Cannes so it has as much right to be there as BJ2 does.
Sometimes I feel like I'm being too quirky or out-there with my writing, and then I go back to reading The Dark Tower, and it's been 5 chapters worth of a dimension-hopping cowboy fighting lobster monsters
I've been keeping my eye on various film festivals this year just for pigeon
lying on my ass sick as shit, watching olympic curling
for more philosophical fantasy, please I am once again urging everyone to pick up an Ursula K. Le Guin book. Despite being a prolific author in her lifetime, she's still so underrated. Earthsea is great! She was great. Check her out. Spiritually, she is my auntie.
also her work is totally original and not surface-level "original character do-not-steal" versions of books you read in highschool english lit. Cool!
have the urge to read some goth/fantasy stories involving gods and personifications and NOT written by a slimeball? Check out the books by Tanith Lee! They are very sweeping, a little bit cheesy in that delightful 80s fantasy way. If you like Labyrinth she's for you.
I'm soooo curious about what will be in the extended cut? More Creature hopefully!
