THE ISSUE: As the City's Accountant, we can see every account & dollar that's unused/unspent. If other departments need those funds, they will not get them.
But for LAPD, no problem. They can overspend, have hundreds of millions in liability claims, & EVEN get a budget increase.
In addition, if the City was able to find millions within the LAPD's current budget to fund additional officers, how do we know that there are not millions more within LAPD that can be used to fund other city depts/services? Will City Hall find out? Did the City budget too much?!

In the US you can show up to support your neighbors and community and if you try to avoid getting arrested by a federal agent and the agent decides to kill you, the Vice President of the country will go on tv and say you were a left wing agent provocateur and deserved death
The utter disorganization, incompetence, ill discipline, and lack of training here is staggering.
Being there at all is deliberate provocation. They're not protecting anything. ICE could lie low, or leave entirely. But no, they want to incite a violent response to justify further violence.
