I've come across a few studies on GPS navigational tools and their effect on memory and sense of direction. Here's one of them.

“How can we as an industry make shorter games with worse graphics made with people who are paid well to work less? If we can, then there might be short-term hope” @ramiismail.com in the NYT on the state of the industry.

I've used the DNC contact form to tell them they have to lead with a simple unified narrative, and to drop all their useless bar charts. Surprisingly, I got an email response from a staff member.
Time to contact them again, they seem to need to be reminded often..

This year my music got 96,000 streams on Spotify and had 46,000 listeners and I made… $185.61. Total.
This is indefensible. Truly an evil company. I totally get why people enjoy using Spotify, but if you want to support musicians, please consider buying our stuff on Bandcamp once in awhile. 💚
It's a diversion by the buyer to distract from his other sordid dealings.

Hope at least it was a good concert.
I saw them guesting with Aoife O’Donovan here in DK this past March, magical!

I'm finding Ursula Le Guin's collection The Birthday of the World and Other Stories surprisingly relevant.

Listen, Broligarchy is not some cute synonym for oligarchy. It's genuinely different & WAY more dangerous.
I'm a sociologist who's been studying the ultra-rich globally for 17 yrs, entering their world as an offshore wealth mgr. Published 2 books abt them.
🧵Broligarchs are distinct in 3 ways:
Gorogoa, a beautiful and evocative puzzle game.A few years old but still three thumbs up!
It's on the App Store, especially breathtaking on iPad and also works on iPhone.

There's an outdoor light festival here in Copenhagen for the first 3 weeks of February, artistic light installations throughout the city.
It's great motivation to get off the couch and go outside in the dark and damp Danish winter.

The same with the old textile districts in both Manchesters, UK and New Hampshire. The old factories with wooden water wheels along the canals, converted to luxury condos and galleries, are identical.

Ok I've made a starter pack of nature photographers who post all their own work and make it accessible with alt text. Thanks for the nudge to finally put one together.
That's a bit extreme. My own dentist and I have reached am agreement, she doesn't hurt me and I don't chomp on her finger.
Turns to the endodontist: "So, my new intern friend and I were just wondering, do you give the polar bears laughing gas before you do their root canal? Do they giggle?"
Chill jazz fusion with a 60’s vibe, they could have been the house band for The Restaurant at the End of the Universe.
It was a pleasure. Hope you've enjoyed your time in 🇩🇰.
Katie Mack introducing her talk, Physics at the End of Universe, at Science and Cocktails in Copenhagen.
Katie Mack warning not to be deceived by the mirage of stability promised by false vacuums.
There will not be structures capable of knowing joy if the Higgs Field tunnels to a true vacuum.
Some say the world will end in fire, Some say in ice. From what I’ve tasted of desire I hold with those who favor fire. But if it had to perish twice, I think I know enough of hate To say that for destruction ice Is also great And would suffice. by Robert Frost, a poet who knew his physics.
A delightful evening of Science and Cocktails featuring @astrokatie.com discussing Physics at the End of the Universe, an opening concert, and physics themed cocktails.
Spoiler alert: it's not looking good for any of us a few billion years down the line.
Luckily the weather will be delightful again tomorrow, perfect for sight seeing walks around the city. Enjoy!
I only just realized you're giving the Science and Cocktails talk on The End of the Universe tomorrow evening, bought a ticket and looking forward to it. 😊
Yes, the clouds often come down from the skies to visit the city here, old friends who sometimes hang around a little too long.
If you're looking for a good vegan restaurant, Flavour Bastards is excellent. I had a wonderful dinner there recently.

Thanks for the recipes, a true community service! 😋
The sun looked exactly like that up here in Copenhagen because of the huge wild fires in Portugal some years ago.
It was beautiful and disturbing.
As someone currently attempting to learn (European) Portuguese, I 100% approve of these stats.
Thanks EM 😝
