If you stack multiple calibers and loadings like me, I strongly recommend using some sort of color coordinating system for quick and easy reference. A cheap and easy solution is to simply use electrical tape.

Combined with an app on your phone it shows you where your shot hits. Each trigger pull causes a momentary activation of the laser. The app uses your camera to see the laser dots and records them.

You can even scale this down by another third (to 1/6th) if you have a smaller place to practice in.

Dry fire practice! Ammo costs money but safely pointing at paper on the wall is free. Laser cartridges are available at most places you find other firearm accessories. Here is a free 1/3 scale target you can print.
