The way to fight dark enlightenment is altruism and class consciousness
This is everything
This is the real point of the story is that Rachel not only has no understanding for Emma but she is willfully stubborn in the ideology that judgement itself, as an acceptable form of moral superiority absolves her of her own wrongdoing
She reacted initially the worst but for the rest of the movie she's dismissive and doesn't look any deeper into the issue and just chalks it up to emma being insane. Meanwhile Emma is reliving/repenting for her past, charlie is trying to rationalize it, mike's view is changed
The drama spoiler:
I think one thing about this movie i dont think people have spoken on is how the only person who didnt internalize Emma's secret was Rachel. After the initial incident, every other character had to grapple with it and process the nuance. Except rachel
Im going to athens ohio next week
The Drama is the type of movie you gotta watch more than once to see all the layers in the story telling but the message is crystal clear. Ate👏

"The Banjo Player" by William Sidney Mount, 1856, shows the instrument in its early modern form. Mount is noted for his relatively respectful and dignified portrayals of Black Americans during the antebellum period. Works like The Banjo Player focused on their musical skills and individual character rather than common stereotypes of the time.
#ResistanceRoots
The banjo is more intertwined with American music and culture than perhaps any other instrument. However, the banjo didn’t originate in America. Enslaved people in North America and the Caribbean brought it from Western and Central Africa and used it as a musical outlet. /1
I feel the same day! Just checked out this book to get back into it. Book club🤞🏽
RAYE's new album got me in a chokehold
We have to make big moves to show that we do not want our dollars put into genocides or dictatorship reform. I believe more community organized resistance is our best bet
#nokings i believe the next steps we have to take in this movement is organizing major boycotts with the intent to shut down the economy. This can accommodate people who can't exactly refuse to go to work. Free goods/services strikes, community bartering, in-work boycotts.
This is awesome 😭😭
I went from a pilots stan account to documenting the endless cycle of the 7 stages of grief over this band how fast the night changes huh
