I think this really beautifully shows the sexism and stereotypes that are so ingrained into our technology, including translators like this and AI... Safe way to reinforce the same shit over and over again, for decades or centuries. Sad stuff
I am halfway through it and I LOVE IT! The prose is so my style, the story is full of heart and soul, the characters are unique and all a little sad.... I can't believe this is a debut novel, it's so good ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฑ
And my hair looks pretty good today, too ๐ค
But hey, I got a squeex video open where he plays Sims 2, I got ice cubes in a cup, with some mate... Life could be worse๐
Ah, spring... The sweet sweet feeling of devastating dysphoria you get when looking at other guys exposed arms and legs ๐๐ง๐ฑ๐
it's a dog breed dog world
This is absolutely not a story about AI but about people deciding to live above Heaven nightclub and then trying to close it down as โtheir window overlooked the entrance of the club and they were disturbed by the noise of music and customers at the venueโ

Oh no, my voice is gonna stay deep from testosterone?? Oh no, the horror, that's totally not one of the main things I want from T ... I totally don't want bottom growth, oh shock horror, I wonder how well I'll be able to cope with such weird, irreversible ""side effects"" of the hormones I want ๐
Cis people in the medical field will be like "but there's many side effects of HRT that aren't reversible, you'll have to be sure those are okay with you" and then list a bunch of things that most of us WANT from HRT in the first place
I figured out what kind of guy I wanna be ages ago.. its simple, really. I wanna be the kind of guy that wears funky and colorful Hawaiian shirts. Or colourful ties. That's it.
I have learned so much Jesus lore through squeexs playthrough of "I am Jesus Christ" ๐คญ the game is pretty much slop, but as someone who's never read the Bible and has less than surface knowledge of Christian lore, this game was actually kinda insightful ๐ธ
I couldn't wait any longer, wer weiร ob meine alten CDs noch existieren und meine Mutter checkt auch nicht wie wichtig mir diese fucking CDs sind lol
it if you want! Jesus Christ, this is so bean soup theory coded, I can't believe it
The entire text was so clearly written from a feminist stand point, you can tell this by reading it! Why the fuck would I not know the ways you can criticize the artists I mentioned. That wasn't point! Andy Warhols flaws and misogyny wasn't the point of the essay! Write your own fucking Essay about
they forgot to mention every single bad thing about this thing they mentioned!
This is not helping anyone! It's frustrating, really ๐ฎโ๐จ๐ซ
the context I was writing about. So many of these people are trying to misinterpret what I'm saying, and I'm starting to think it's on purpose. Like it's not just about me, I think they're doing this in general. Oh, look, someone mentioned something that's not 100% GOOD, so I have to tell them how
Warhol wasn't perfect either, he was kind of a sexist and stole art work" and I'm like???? I know that?? I didn't say he was the best artist ever, like yes I admit I said I admire his art and stuff, but I never tried putting him on a pedestal. This is so completely off topic, and so taken out of
I wrote an essay about sexual liberation through art, and about the censorship of sexual art, using Warhol as an example of a queer artists who made very sexual art, that is barely to not at all known to the general public. That's what I explained in the text and then some person said "well, but
Even in my literary writing seminar people are unable to comprehend texts properly and also see things in their bigger picture and contexts... It's frustrating
I hope some of my twenty something year old fellow students in some of my seminars grow out of of their whataboutism quickly, it's sooo annoying
A book cover in turquoise and dark pink. The title of the book reads "cinema love", above it the name of the author reads Jiaming Tang. The cover shows two people embracing each other, one is sitting up, cradling the other persons head and upper body in their lap in a romantic pose, with their arms wrapped around each other. Their faces are close to each other, but not really looking at each other.
Picked this up the other day, because I like the cover a lot and the blurb told me it's queer and possibly very emotional. Almost 30 pages in and invested so far ๐

One of my romance book pet peeves is the term somebody's "breath hitched". WHAT DOES THAT MEAN??? What does it meaaaaannnn ๐ฅด๐ซ ๐ค
This weekend I gave a presentation to a group of mostly college-aged folks and had a little line at the beginning of my slides that described it as an "AI-free presentation made by a human, for humans" and I had to pause for clapping at that part
you love to see it
No way the new guy's actual last name is "magyar" ๐๐ญ
W Hungary?!? Are we allowed to be hopeful??
[standing up while in my 30s] ouuggghhhh. aaaaaaarggghhhh. oof
2 cartoon figures. One says: "let me ask ChatGPT," to which the other one reacts with the The Sims negative interaction moodlet: two people holding hands and double red minus signs.
