I could almost *count* more than 50,000 people from where I was standing.

I've been on marches with 50,000 people and they don't look or feel like that. The back of the march didn't start moving until nearly 3pm.

While I'm glad to see the US called to account for its criminal bombing of a school in Iran, it astonishes me to see so little challenge to Gordon Brown when he appoints himself to this role. He was properly, Nuremberg-complicit in the Iraq War, in which 700 primary schools were bombed.

I used to admire Darren when he was an inspiring Green politician. Then he left @greenparty.org.uk in a whirl of anti-trans, pro-war & pro-landlord sentiment. His new party share those values.

Coming home, I was suddenly really annoyed. What the hell?

I'm vaguely picturing myself saying to a young person, "When I was your age, politicians had to come up with some sort of justification for bombing somewhere, even if nobody really believed it."

for those of you who werent adults during iraq, its hard to overstate how much the media loves war porn. they salivate over pentagon spin briefings. they love stories about all the bombs and how supposedly infallible they are. they love the notion of the commander in chief, in the situation room etc

How come “How are you going to pay for it?” is never asked about endless war?
