One of my favorite places to go running/e-biking during sunset in New York City.
Start at Shore Parkway in South Brooklyn 👉🏻 Bay Ridge Promenade 👉🏻 American Veterans Memorial Pier. It's all a single 5-ish mile stretch with gorgeous sights.

New from me: While Western automakers continue hemorrhaging money over EVs, a new crop of Chinese automakers is officially reporting profits.
These young Chinese EV startups are maturing quickly while battling brutal competition and price wars on their home turf. Story in comments.
I got an early look at the Lucid Cosmos last week. It is packed with a cutting-edge motor and a new architecture built with autonomy in mind. Full story in comments👇🏻
The Flash chargers are coming to Europe, Middle East, Latin America, Africa and the Asia Pacific region, according to BYD. Pretty sure the newer Blade 2.0-equipped cars will also go to these regions.

Uber has struck a dizzying number of deals with self-driving tech companies, charging networks and fleet management firms. In my latest story, I try to make sense of why the company is betting on every horse in this race, what it means for drivers, riders, and the future of autonomy.

The 615-horsepower Chevy Blazer EV SS is plenty fast, but it's got one huge disadvantage compared to its rivals.
Tesla's passenger vehicle business may be struggling, but its energy storage deployments reached record levels last year, the company said during its Q4 and full year 2025 earnings call on Wednesday.
America's electric vehicle public fast-charging infrastructure grew at a staggering pace last year, defying all headwinds facing the industry. There was a 30% YoY growth for the full year and 44% in Q4.

The Optiq is a lovable compact EV with plenty of luxury, value and comfort. But is it the best EV this year had to offer?
The zig-zag approaching cars have to do when people double park in New York City. This happens more during street cleaning; people double park so they can quickly reclaim their spaces once the cleaning trucks are gone. @nycdot.bsky.social #newyorkcity
The dual-motor Polestar 4 feels aggressive. The single-motor, rear-wheel-drive version felt far more friendly and approachable. It’s also nearly 300 pounds lighter, which you can feel from behind the wheel.

Tesla added more #Superchargers in Q3 than the next nine networks combined. Its all-time Supercharger market share is at over 53%, but Q3 market share was down to about 45% as other networks also continue their expansion.

The refreshed Tesla Model Y "Juniper" is a fantastic car. Rides great, charging is worry-free, NVH is top tier, and efficiency is excellent. But can't sit back and watch Netflix still. FSD requires supervision a 100% of the time. Pay attention, don't die (or kill).
I drove the 2026 #NissanLeaf for a week and it blew me away. For about $31,485, you get a fresh design, a ton of equipment, plenty of range and a Tesla-style charging port all right from the factory. But a couple of things drove me nuts.

I tested Tesla's Full-Self Driving system on the Model Y in New York City, the worst place in America for driving. I was the city's most hated motorist that day, cutting cyclists and not yielding to FDNY trucks. But there were some positives, too!

EV and grid batteries may share some DNA, but they live different lives. EV cells chase range and performance under tough conditions, while grid batteries stay cool and are built to last decades.

Got lost in the Colorado mountains driving the electric 2026 Subaru Solterra. Didn't freak out with range anxiety. Saw a Moose having lunch. And lots of beautiful emerald green pine trees. Not posting Moose pics to respect their privacy.

“One of our mantras is, the best part is no part,” said Doug Field, Ford’s chief EV, Digital and Design Officer. “If we pull this off, you will never put an instrument panel or a seat through a door opening again,” he told workers.

I was in Kentucky last week to witness what could become a historic moment in time.
A $30,000 electric truck from Ford, riding on a brand new platform, put together on a radically different manufacturing process.
