After struggling with job hunting, I can safely say that I’m getting on recruiter calls 3-4 times a week now. I have recruiters reaching out to me. This is a win for me. It may be small but it’s progress!

I like the fantasy element of it because it’s showing that it’s okay to be vulnerable.

I haven’t seen the new Snow White movie but personally, I wouldn’t want to watch it. I prefer the old school princess movies. Having a princess movie where the princess is a boss babe just doesn’t feel right. I like the element of fantasy where the prince saves the princess, and that’s okay too.

There is a job recruiter scam! I have gotten texts from legitimate recruiters before so I thought this was legitimate. They mentioned using WhatsApp to send the job description that raised red flags in my head. Then they literally went back and forth contacting me through imessenger and WhatsApp!

No longer will I let ANYONE or ANY COMPANY tell me I do not belong in the industry. No longer will base my happiness on my job title and salary. It is freedom to find happiness in the things that truly matter and not in material things.

I do not care if I lose followers for this but I want to say that God has healed me from feeling worthless. I had my heart in all of the wrong places. My happiness does not determine how far I make it in infosec. I put my faith in the lord and savior Jesus Christ and I am HEALED!

I struggle a lot with not feeling adequate enough to be in infosec. I have degrees and certs. I have a job in infosec which sometimes I’m not the most proud of. I turned to my faith in Christianity, therapy, and meds to help me cope, and I still struggle.
