Our artist of the week is the late Pluto Shervington 🧡
Born in Kingston in 1950, he started out young with Tomorrow’s Children before moving into a solo career, releasing tracks such as “Your Honour”, “Ram Goat Liver”, “Dat” and “I Man Born Ya”.

"Hurt So Good" was first a major US hit for Millie Jackson, but it was Susan Cadogan’s more understated take that brought the track to a wider audience.
Produced by Lee "Scratch" Perry at his Black Ark Studio, her version entered the charts on this very day in 1975
