Interior view of a house with a very industrial-chic kitchen in the background. In the foreground is a spiral slide from an old playground. Yes, they've installed it indoors.
View looking up a flight of stairs but on either side are weird little rooms half-hidden behind red curtains. Half whimsical, half terrifying.
Big open rec room space with pool table in middle

If my followers have been inspired by the fierce resistance the Twin Cities has put up to ICE, you should make it a point to take a trip here (April through October 😬), enjoy the wonderful things MN has to offer and support our small businesses. It continues to be a really tough time for them.

Prohibiting Law Enforcement Staging on City-owned Property. Passed by Council and signed by Mayor Her on Feburary 4, 2026.
Overview of areas that are prohibited for federal law enforcement to access within the City of Saint Paul.
Mayor Her has signed Ordinance 26-5, passed by the City Council, to respond to federal ICE activity in Minnesota. The ordinance prohibits law enforcement staging or operational activity on city-owned property, and restricts access to non-public city spaces. Learn more at stpaul.gov/metro-surge
Predicting that this week we’ll hear more conciliatory words from the Administration regarding Minnesota (since they’re starting to realize that ICE has become politically toxic) but everyone outside of Minnesota needs to know that nothing on the ground has changed.

Congrats on the submission! Always an accomplishment, but especially now.
A St. Paul Animal Control officer, wearing a uniform and badge, lovingly holds a French Bulldog with a red leash. The text reads, "Concerned about pets during recent federal enforcement actions? Contact Animal Services: 651-266-1100 stpaul.gov/animal-services." There's a blue logo with a white building icon in the top left corner.
Recent federal immigration enforcement actions have raised concerns about pets who may be left without care. In Saint Paul, call Animal Services at 651-266-1100 if you’re worried about an animal. We’ll check in and focus on the animal’s safety: stpaul.gov/animal-services
Congratulations on the submission! And couldn't agree more.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

One of those captcha things. This one says ‘select all images with bicycles. Click verify once there are none left’. There are 9 squares - 4 contain photos of bicycle seats, with the remaining 5 showing the beautiful head and face of a grey greyhound with a white stripe going from the top of their head to the tip of their nose.
Hats off to whoever did this (and the beautiful model).
Needless to say that Renee Good and Alex Pretti will go down as heroes here in Minnesota and nationally, their names synonymous with sacrifice and caring for vulnerable neighbors even at the risk of your own life. And hopefully no more innocent lives are lost.
"ICE OUT" on Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis, as seen from my flight leaving MSP airport
Walz: "To Americans who are watching this, I've got a question for you: What side do you want to be on? The side of an all powerful federal govt that can kill, injury, menace, & kidnap its citizens off the streets? Or on the side of a nurse at the VA hospital who died bearing witness to such govt?"

Alex Pretti, wearing a green sweater with his VA badge on.
This is Alex Pretti.
This morning he was murdered by ICE. Six ICE agents held him down and shot him at point blank range. Alex was a nurse and researcher at the VA.
Our thoughts are with his loved ones and we stand united in action calling for the abolishment of ICE.
