I applaud this valuable link to #churches Our communities need a constant reminder of the Church’s presence and Jesus’ message of the Love of God.

I had passed by the ancient old church like @sttexeter many times as man and boy but never felt it had any meaning for me - I WAS WRONG! The short story is that years later I entered that same church as a newly ordained Church of England priest. #church #jesus #christianity #spirituality

My heart would have me buy a copy of this book by Bishop Tom Wright for every Christian and Church #achurchnearyou @achurchnearyou @sttexeter What I can do is urge and recommend we all read, mark and learn this profound piece of work - and live it with joy.

An unchurched man, surprised at that Midnight Mass, once in meditation, felt drawn upwards as through a long dark tunnel to emerge to face a great bright light and to hear a voice say “Go back”. I eventually became a priest. Our God of surprises may surprise you.
