hey does anyone know of a still-working version of the spotify bandito experience? all the archives of www.imabandi.to glitch out a third of the way through ๐Ÿ˜” there are videos of it, but i was hoping it was still actually "playable" somewhere.

okayyy that's it!!! there's so much more i cld talk abt--and tbh prolly will--but here you go!! the narrative arc of vessel. it's abt fearing the night + fighting to survive it. it's abt convincing yourself each day that you're not alone, and doubting it each night. it's about cycles.

two quotes from the song Truce by twenty one pilots. the first quote is two lines: "Now the night is coming to an end" ("night" is highlighted), and "The sun will rise and we will try again" ("sun will rise" is highlighted). the second quote is one line: "I will fear the night again" ("night" is highlighted).

12: TRUCE
finally, he tells us that, tho we'll die (fall asleep/etc) one day and be forced to return to that "prisoner's cell", for now our life is "free". and yet, as he acknowledges that the night--and the fear--will return, he's still hoping he's "not [his] only friend". he still feels alone.

11. TREES
there aren't any references to day/night or being awake/asleep, but there *is* a single reference to death. he can "feel his death", or he can feel himself falling asleep/losing faith/not thinking. but he doesn't that. he wants to know (us? God?), he wants to see. he wants to say hello.

three quotes from the song Guns for Hands by twenty one pilots. the first is three lines: the first reads "I know what you think in the morning" ("morning" is highlighted), the second reads "When the sun shines on the ground"("sun" is highlighted), and the third reads "And shows what you have done". The second quote is two lines, the first being "I'm trying to sleep" ("sleep" is highlighted), second being "But I can't when you all have guns for hands". The third quote is also two lines, the first being "'Cause when the sun sets it upsets what's left of my invested interest" ("sun sets" is highlighted), the second being "Interested in putting my fingers to my head".

10. GUNS FOR HANDS
finally, the night has passed! it's now morning, when "the sun shines on the ground" and reveals the aftermath of last night's battle. he says he's "trying to sleep" (ie. not think/have no faith/die), but he can't when he knows others like him are out there struggling too.

9. FAKE YOU OUT (pt. 2)
but!! the only references to day/night come when he talks abt wanting to "drive away" in the night, and how we, the reader (if we feel the same as him, anyway), wld also "do anything just to feel free"; to convince him otherwise, you'd have to spend the whole night with him.

two quotes from the song The Run and Go by twenty one pilots. the first is two lines, "I want to drive away" and "In the night, headlights call my name" ("night" is highlighted). the second reads "Am I right? Of course I am, convince me otherwise it would take all night" ("night" is highlighted again).

9. FAKE YOU OUT (pt. 1)
this one's abt pretending to be alright when you're not, and feeling alone when you're not. but later it explains that there *are* others who feel the same; he tells us, the listener, that "if you're one of them, then you're one of me". he's *not* alone--and neither are you.

8. THE RUN AND GO (pt. 2)
also: track 6, the end of the first half of the album, says that the night takes away "the only friend [he knows]". track 7, the beginning of the latter half, introduces "some people" who have the same struggles as him. now here, track 8, he asks them to stay.

Three quotes from the song The Run and Go by twenty one pilots. The first reads: "Don't want to call you in the night time" ("night" is highlighted). The second is two lines, the first being: "You'll have to watch me struggle from several rooms away" followed by "But tonight I need you to stay" ("tonight" is highlighted). The third quote reads "Cold nights under siege from accusations" ("nights" is highlighted).

8. THE RUN AND GO (pt. 1)
back to talking abt day and night! this is the first time he's asked for someone to help him through the night time. he doesn't want them to get a direct peek into his brain (they can't be "in the room" with him), he just wants them to stay by his side.

7. SCREEN (pt. 3) (a coda)
last little thing: if thinking is associated with falling, that adds it to the ultimate awake/asleep dichotomy. wakefulness = life = faith = thinking = falling. which means, ofc, that flying/*levitating* = sleeping = not thinking = not having faith = dying. remember that.

7. SCREEN (pt. 2)
what this song DOES talk abt, tho, is thinking. the 1st verse is about hiding your inner thoughts/feelings to appear "cool". the 2nd is about those (trains of) thought crashing to the ground ie. being revealed. but that's okay by him, because there's others who feel the same way.

A quote from the song Screen by twenty one pilots. It is two lines. The first reads: "While you're doing fine, there's some people and I", and line two reads "Who have a really tough time getting through this life" ("time" is highlighted).

7. SCREEN (pt. 1)
this song, also near smack dab in the middle of the album, stands out bc it's one of the only ones that *doesn't* mention day/night OR life/death. The lines I quoted are the closest it gets, in that they're talking abt a certain time when ppl struggle: nighttime.

Two quotes from the song Semi-Automatic by twenty one pilots. The first quote is 4 lines. Line one reads: "When the sun is climbing window sills" ("sun" is highlighted), line two reads: "And the silver lining rides the hills", line three reads: "I will be saved for one whole day" ("day" is highlighted), and line four reads: "Until the sun makes the hills its grave" ("sun" is highlighted). The second quote is two lines. Line one reads: "By the time the night falls off, the dust is down and shadows burn" ("night" is highlighted), and line two reads: "I will rise and stand my ground, waiting for the night's return" ("night" is highlighted).

6. SEMI-AUTOMATIC (pt. 2)
Verse two talks abt what daytime is like. He feels "saved". Each night is a struggle, a battle that he must win, and each morning marks his triumph. But the night will always return. It's only a temporary peace; an armistice. The cycle continues.

Two quotes from the song Semi-Automatic by twenty one pilots. The first reads: "Night falls with gravity" ("night" is highlighted). The second quote is four lines. The first line is "The horrors of the night melt away" ("night" is highlighted), the second is "Under the warm glow of survival of the day, then we move on" ("day" is highlighted), the third is "My shadow grows taller along with my fears", and the fourth is "And my frame shrinks smaller as night grows near" ("night" is highlighted).

6. SEMI-AUTOMATIC (pt. 1)
since this is (one of) the middle songs on the album, we know its important. in this case, this song basically explains the entire narrative of the album. night falls, horror pervades; the sun rises, the horrors fade away, waiting for night to fall again. A cycle.

Two separate quotes from the song Car Radio by twenty one pilots. The first quote reads: "My skin will scream, reminding me of who I killed inside my dream" ("dream" is highlighted). The second quote is two lines. The first line reads: "There's faith, and there's sleep, we need to pick one, please" ("sleep" is highlighted), and the second line reads: "Because faith is to be awake, and to be awake is for us to think" (both "awake"s are highlighted).

5. CAR RADIO
so, we already know that dreams/sleep = death. Now we learn about the other half of the dichotomy: to be awake. being awake = being alive is fairly obvious, but there's the addition of both thinking *and* faith. Does that mean being asleep equals having no faith, and not thinking?

4. HOUSE OF GOLD
this one refers back to migraine with "dreams are dead" AKA to dream, to be asleep, is a kind of "death". the song itself is about feeling torn between two paths, obligation vs aspiration. another dichotomy! in this case, obligation means being awake, and aspiration, being asleep.

Two lines from the song Migraine by twenty one pilots. The first one reads: "I do not have writer's block, my writer just hates the clock" and the second one reads "It will not let me sleep, I guess I'll sleep when I'm dead" (both "sleep"s are highlighted)

3. MIGRAINE
this one goes into exactly what that struggle is that he experiences at night. he explains what "the headache represents", and how it "will not let [him] sleep". so now we know the problem is that he *doesn't* sleep at night. this is also where we get the first sleep = death reference.

A quote from the song Holding On To You by twenty one pilots. It reads: "You think twice about your life, it probably happens at night, right?" ("night" is highlighted)

2. HOTY
this song's very much about living ~in the moment, and holding on to those moments "where you know exactly where you're going". shortly after that, he clarifies that those moments when "time is slowing and it's frozen still" usually happen at night. day = movement, night = stillness

separate quotes of lyrics from the song Ode to Sleep by twenty one pilots. the quotes are:
"I wake up fine and dandy" ("wake up" is highlighted)
"I'll stay awake 'cause the dark's not taking prisoners tonight" ("stay awake" and "dark" are highlighted)
"Why am I not scared in the morning?" ("morning" is highlighted)
"On the eve of a day that's forgotten and fake" ("eve of a day" is highlighted)
"The start of a day when we put on our face" ("start of a day" is highlighted)
"On the eve of a day that is bigger than us" ("eve of a day" is highlighted)

1. ODE TO SLEEP
based on the quoted/highlighted lines, we learn that he feels fine in the morning, feels "imprisoned" at night/when he sleeps, that as the night approaches he feels he can be honest (or has a more negative outlook), but in the morning he has to put on a mask to hide that honesty
