Another tragic loss of life on Rockville’s streets. We’ve got to do better at protecting all road users.

Montgomery County property taxes are consistently outpacing inflation, making us less appealing to families and employers compared to our neighboring counties. I hope the next Executive and Council will understand that we cannot rely solely on tax increases to fix structural budget deficits.
The Potomac is the nation’s most endangered river and DC’s only source of water. We must accelerate efforts to identify an alternative source, including the Travilah Quarry, which could store up to 17.4 billion gallons.
I’m glad MCPS has undertaken a careful review in the aftermath of the Wootton shooting. Parents need to be able to trust that their kids will be safe when they send them to school. bethesdamagazine.com/2026/03/25/w...
Rockville commuters: if you, like me, take the Red Line to work, be prepared for a major disruption this summer:
MoCo Dems “say they’re worried about the lack of new housing production in the county and believe that the age and quality of the county’s homes is an issue [and] they say they’re more likely to vote for candidates who support building more homes”. ggwash.org/view/102850/...
I applaud the MGA for this move. We’ve got to get phones out of the classroom and—as much as possible—out of childhood.
Happy Maryland Day!
Kudos to the County Council for taking action to keep ICE out of county-owned and controlled facilities. bethesdamagazine.com/2026/03/24/m...
Montgomery County cannot go on forever raising taxes on a shrinking tax base. We need leadership that's focused on growing the base, attracting new residents and businesses who will pay into the system, rather than taking bigger and bigger pieces from a smaller and smaller pie.
Another senseless loss of life on our roads and in my neighborhood. While we don't yet know what caused this, we know we've got to do better to make Rockville's roads safer for everyone. wtop.com/montgomery-c...
The Rockville Mayor and Council are nearing approval of the FY27 budget but there is still time to make your voice heard on the priorities that matter to you. The Budget Priorities Survey is still open and there are two remaining public budget hearings on 3/23 and 4/13. More info:
The plan to close Wootton doesn't account for planned growth in Rockville. This decision would break up a tight-knit community and take school capacity away in a place where we anticipate significant population growth. Make it make sense!
What an incredible loss for the community. Les Delices is a Rockville institution. Mr. Kazanjian will be greatly missed.
One thing is clear: Rockville's economy is heavily dependent on the federal government. Between Trump's attacks on federal workers and the federal budget, we've got to diversify.
Super excited to see the state designate the Rockville Metro station area as a transit-oriented development. This initiative encourages mixed-use development with a focus on transit access. The area will receive state support to foster walkability and reduce car reliance.
Wootton High School has been a pillar of the Rockville community for decades. Community leaders have been speaking out in opposition to "Option H" which would relocate Wootton students to Gaithersburg. Sign the petition and tell MCPS to save Wootton! buff.ly/9s3tqeC
