The dominoes continue to fall with ITT OFSTED inspections delayed by a year. It feels weird that the Goverment seems to be listening to the sector. Which domino will fall next from the ITT market review? I'm hoping ITaP, curriculum load and illogical PGTA idiosyncrasies.

Does anyone know of a school who only uses coaching with no appraisal. Our Trust of schools is looking to create a totally new policy for developing staff without formal appraisal.

On the ground, it's just distracted ITT providers from recrtuiting and looking after trainees. It's stretched everyone and yet the claim that change was needed, particularly this way, is weak.

Love this book. Makes you more and more angry as you go through each chapter.

There is a great book by Viv Ellis, Teacher Education in Crisis, which unpacks the research base for the review and highlights little evidence to be so brutal. They waded in ignoring the consequences. An act of self harm in the middle of a recruitment crisis in order to centralise the ITT system.

Now that the 20 hours of ITT mentor training has been dropped. Do we think there will be an ITT market review recommendations domino effect?
