TBF I used to think the same but nowadays I don't mind it at all as long as it isn't TOO strong haha
The other day we had Baklava Style churros at Burger King which had some rose-flavor crumble topping on top and it was actually really good!
I also remember Thomas Henry selling a cherry blossom tonic water that's actually pretty nice but you can barely find it anywhere except online, probably because the demand is too low? :')
Or maybe it's not selling too well because it doesn't quite fit the German palate, similar to rose/rosewater? I mean it also took them quite a while until the matcha latte you can get here actually tasted like matcha and not just like vanilla milk with a faint hint of matcha _(:'3

I actually had a milktea the other day that had a slight touch of rosewater to it. But generally that's indeed more of a rare find unless you go straight to like a turkish bakery or café or something lol

For the record: Sakura flavor is a more floral flavor with what I would describe as a slight cinnamon-y touch. It's really hard to describe but trust me when I say that it's not even close to cherry flavor 😭
At this point, I'm not even expecting actual sakura flavor anymore, but I still gotta try every single thing JUST IN CASE it's the real deal after all 😭
I REALLY LOVE the Japanese sakura flavor and it really bugs me that in the past years, dozens of companies here have claimed to have introduced a new "Sakura flavor" to their lineup only for it to be nothing more than regular cherry flavor...

As expected, it's not cherry blossom flavor. The package does in fact say "cherry flavor" on the back and that's exactly what it is.
It's been 4,045 days since I returned from Japan... still no proper Sakura flavor in Germany... 🥲
