My November Wrapup
I am finally watching The Pitt. Episode 2 and it is so good.
Just in case anyone makes the same mistake I did: Any Man by Amber Tamblyn is not a quick read even with its many pages of just one or two lines or poetry and prose. I have had to put this book down to really think about what I read. I'm not even to 100 pages yet.
Cover of Ana Maria and the Fox by Liana De La Rosa. Illustrated cover of a Black man in a period suit (1800s England) holding close a Mexican woman in a dress.
April pick for Diverse Historical Romance bookclub is Ana Maria and the Fox by Liana De La Rosa!
For the Trans Rights Readathon, I picked Transgender Resource Center of New Mexico to donate to. I really gotta ramp up my reading. I will pledge $5 per books read between now and the 31st regardless if it is a Trans book or not. I will prioritize Trans books for this week.

Starting The Sapling Cage by Margaret Killjoy for the Trans Rights Readathon.
I think I'm just not going to read books published by Bloom Books.
I currently have 6 bookclub books to get through this month.
As well as the 20+ library books I checked out.
Also the books on my physical TBR.
....
AND the ebooks I bought from last year and the year before that.

It is crunch time. I am still 145 subscribers away from the subscriber goal I was trying to reach by TODAY. Please help me get this company to a more sustainable position so we can fight for Black and brown authors more effectively. Just $5 will make a difference.

I keep checking out more books from the library than I can actually read in the given time frame.
...
And no one can stop me.

Day 21.
I know Black History Month is about looking at what we have already contributed to this country. But Iβm asking you to invest just $5 or $12 into what Iβm trying to offer to the future. The work we are doing makes a real difference for marginalized authors

Finished Light From Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki. I looked up BartΓ³k's Sonata for solo violin and...I understand the pacing of the book a lot better. Impactful read.
