I feel like outside of Get Shiny, the core of Shiny Hunting is community, it's hanging out with people on streams or in VCs or at cons or in the pub looking for lil goobers, I couldn't imagine a more welcoming community tbh.

When I streamed I was mostly using one console, if I didn't it was emulation (using rips of games I physically own, never more than I could do if I had the set up, but that's My Preference), I got by Fine, people enjoyed what I did, but honestly I only streamed my hunts to hang out with people

I love that there are people saying that "content creation" for shiny hunting is inaccessible unless you're a multi setup full odds hunter when I'm here with a multi setup I couldn't use for "content" if I wanted to, I've got it for funsies.

Shiny Hunting and Content Creation are not inseparable. Not to harp on discourse but it seems a lot like it's stemming from a frustration about content creation. And listen, if you're approaching the hobby with the intent for it to be content, you're setting yourself up for failure.

The concept of ‘full odds elitism’ is REEALLLY funny to me because dude. Dude. Listen to me really carefully. Pokemon is a kids game. We are grown adults. There is no room for elitism. NONE. we’re all wearing spinny hats arguing who has the best comically large lollipop. SHUT UP BRUH!!!!!

Re: shiny hunting discourse: The only incorrect way to shiny hunt is to get overly concerned about how others do it. The community is so big that there are bound to be cliques/subcommunities that mainly just support each other. It's about sharing *your* journey however you hunt.

This is such a hard series of decisions tbh...

I mean part of me did want to go for a living dex of shinies from their own region at one point (not necessarily in like GBC/GBA versions mind you, I'd include/allow remakes, also Where Possible as I know DAs needed for some)

I've found out I can edit the Trainer Name on my 3DS/DS games because my 3DSes are modded... do I do that or do I commit to fresh saves and hunts?

Specifically shiny ones, I'm well aware I will need to hatch at least 3 generally.
