Modeled these cute mushroom glasses to be our power-ups c: The liquid fill is a work in progress, but the shader simulates semi-realistic liquid moving in the cup when tilted around.

The main thing this time around was the environment optimization. All of the in-game objects (especially the trees) were optimized for VR, and the environment runs at 72 fps on build. The trees in the distance have a much more stylized look now- took a lot of testing to get the results I wanted.

I placed our cute enoki characters modeled by @yourfuture00.bsky.social in the scene and added some animations. The enoki are playing Manitaire and having drinks at the bar~ When the player wins, a stage of dancing enoki that rise up from below.

Manitaire is showing at GDC, and now we have a single player option made! This is the second progress update for Manitaire and I love our game 😳 I made some dice shaders, also finally added the dice light-up feature when you have matching combos.

Putting together the bars was definitely the most creatively interesting as well as rewarding part of the process. In the future, our enoki characters will be playing on the floating tabletops and serving drinks from the bars!

When viewed from the center platform where the games will occur, the depth of the forest looks very cool affected by the fog! The floating trees were carefully placed to mimic a forest with real distance and height variability

At first I started laying out the placements of the platforms and the bridges to get a feel where things would exist in the environment. It didn't have the most glamorous start, but I wanted to make sure all players of the game got a stunning view no matter where they were seated.

I've been working on my VR multiplayer dice game named "Manitaire" and am excited to share it! 🎲🍄

My teammates @yourfuture00.bsky.social, @garcido.bsky.social and I made this project all from concept to development. Recently I've been working on the environment and love how it's coming together.
