Timelapse! It was originally supposed to be upside down, but after looking at it the other way around for 40 hours I went with this way up instead. :)

Procreate timelapses spread out the early hours and speed up the late ones, which really obscures how 85% of this was just hair and scales.

He wears a turquoise garment with golden accents, including a serpent-themed piece of arm jewelry. His expression is wide-eyed, fearful and nearly indignant; while his mother accepts the cycle she perpetuates, he is defiant, even as he clings to her - desperate for her guidance, for her to join him in freedom, even if he knows she will not. Behind them both is their legacy: the blue serpent, continuing the cycle, endlessly eating its own tail.
