Regarding the goal specifically, I thought he drifted in too close to Konate but I’d have to watch a replay

I was speaking generally about his play. He’s been poor this season and it was noticeable that he & Robertson were playing Beto onside. These days he’s not as dominant aerially or as quick on the ground. The best strikers wouldn’t even bother but now guys like Beto are giving him a tough game

VVD has truly fallen off a cliff this season smh

The sooner they provide to option to watch all football matches without commentary and just crowd noise, the better it’ll be for everyone

Some sanity in a sea of madness, thank you

The devils club is out! Well done Bayern!

It doesn’t seem to matter where they play, they’re always treated as the home team

How much help do Real Madrid really need from the refs? Some of these calls they get are ridiculous smh

He was helped massively by not being up against Nuno Mendes tonight. It felt pitiful watching Mendes handle him last season and once that threat was gone, Mo could come on & Wreak havoc. Unfortunately he’s lost something so he didn’t capitalise on many good moments

It’s odd how refs always want to prove that they can’t be intimidated at Anfield

What an idiotic reply. Buzz off

Sorry if I missed this but you mentioned that he categorically said he was involved in transfers. Did you have any evidence to corroborate this claim?

Explanation that cognitive disruptions are a common consequence of trauma

I think Jota’s death was tragic & traumatic. He died so violently after the wedding. I hope the players who knew & worked with him are getting trauma therapy. Maybe a change of manager is all we need but what happens if Slot is removed & nothing changes due to the underlying issues what then?

I would love to see where he categorically stated he was involved in who we sign. Maybe I missed it but I’d love to see a source or quote

Fair enough, we’ll have to agree to disagree.

With respect, that is completely irrelevant to the previous point. By all accounts criticise Slot, but it’s silly to blame him for transfers when it has been very clear from the start that he’s not in charge of them

I disagree. I think the fine margins are between competing or not, not just between competing for the title. You seem to have limited its meaning to that but I have a different understanding/interpretation. I think the drop off due to destabilising factors has hampered the ability to compete 🤷🏾‍♂️

Slot is the coach and not the manager. He said it last season when he won the league & it’s not changed this season. He didn’t rip anything up since he’s not responsible for buying or selling players. It’s quite a simple concept but for whatever reason swathes of our fanbase refuses to accept it

VVD’s legs have completely gone. There should have been much better succession planning for our CB situation tbh

With respect that’s irrelevant to the point I was making. The point is that competing at the top is about fine margins. If grief has a destabilising effect then logic would indicate your ability to compete would be compromised. Thats what we’ve witnessed this season.

I’m pretty sure that was the bedrock of Liverpool’s philosophy under Klopp. We’ll have to agree to disagree there.

2 weeks ago 0 0 1 0

It’s not everything but it’s the most significant factor. If the highest level is all about small margins, grief at the traumatic death of a teammate will affect that. It’s distasteful & dishonest to try and analyse this season and ignore its impact from players to Slot who’s had to manage that

The previous poster explained that there was an obvious difference after we won the league. Are you just choosing to ignore that because you’re upset?

Before or after we won the league? Because we played well before we won the league

Thanks for this! I’ve pinned it now and will be following

You genuinely think the mitigating factors this season are Slot’s tactics & training methods? Genuinely? Or has your hatred of him moved you to losing any rationality or objectivity?

Shame that Mo is leaving. Unfortunately we it’s a summer too late but thank you for the good times. His conduct earlier this season was unbecoming but willing to look past that and celebrate an incredible career with the Reds. Onwards & upwards! #ynwa

It’s a disease

Spot on. It doesn’t take much thinking or imagination to understand the mitigating circumstances yet so many people are saying “I have no clue what could possibly be happening, I can’t think of any reason”. At this point it’s just a refusal to see beyond the idea they’ve agreed to as truth

Exactly this. A large portion of our fans are just choosing to be unreasonable and ignore the context whenever discussing this season. Never seen anything like it
