Hopefully our work will still have had an impact for the greater good.
Here is a blog post with some more details and thoughts www.witty.works/en/blog/bye-...
Thank you all for your comments. For me it is of course a lot of effort that might be lost (small hope I can buy the software out of liquidation). But I will be fine. I already have a new job starting in May. So what makes me most sad is that we have not achieved our full mission.
I have some sad news to share: Witty Works is closing down. 😮
Still everything too fresh to really have developed a perspective on what we have achieved, especially in light that we were unable to build a sustainable product around our vision that #languagematters for equity and inclusion.
Any FOSMessageBundle users who can check this PR? github.com/FriendsOfSymfony/FOSMess...
switch or consider alternatives to proton?
I am planning to switch from Google Business for my private email to @proton.me or should I consider other alternatives? I assume the main thing I will miss is integrated video calls.
To all #magento devs. What is your favorite CLI to manage your shops? the official Abobe "magento" CLI or "n98-magerun2" or something else entirely?
anyone know a teleprompter iOS/OSX app that can be controlled via a MIDI foot switch? already got a keyboard with a foot switch which I would like to re-purpose when I need a teleprompter to start/stop
Microsoft is porting Typescript to Go. Preparation deprecations coming in Version 6 and Version 7 will complete the move. www.neowin.net/news/microsoft-is-making...
Yeah. all good now. though I have not tried what will then happen if I do connect it via USB but I am ok with Wifi for the little dabbling I am doing right now and might upgrade TouchOSC to the latest version if I go further.
super weird. disabling USB connections fixed the issue. but I didn't even have the iPad connected via USB. it is only connected via Wifi
actually one thing I noticed is that all messages seem to be coming in twice
yeah. super weird. I can see with MIDI monitor that the right messages are send. using a physical controller play/pause works fine. also other buttons do work fine like CUE, triggering slots etc.
will investigate more. thank you for confirming that it is something in my setup that is causing this
@andrewnorris.uk "doug out" my old TouchOSC Mk1 license. I realize you have a newer version of this already but wondering if you have any idea why the "play/pause" mapping doesn't seem to work on your Remix Deck 1.0/1.1 layout. MIDI note is send but play only flickers in TP4 on both decks. any idea?
hey we are a startup launching a product. I have no clue how quickly it will get adoption. but I sure as hell cannot have the first customers hit quota limits.
heh. our current quota on #awsBedrock is 4 RPM. I asked to get it increased and now they want us to do some TPM/RPM projections and expect the TPM/RPM to be hit immediately.
recently posted on LinkedIn, the 3 SaaS solutions that save me the most time (and nerves) are in alphabetical order:
platform.sh / upsun.com
so we don’t spend time on devops
sonarcloud.com
static code and code coversge anslysis
sprinto.com
got us SOC2 certified and actually help us be more secure
Working with #vuejs, #reactjs and #angularjs I kind of have zero preference. whatever I need to get done, I get done. But it also makes me wonder if we really need so much choice. guess other people have stronger flavor preferences. I just want to solve whatever is in front of me that needs solving
anyone have insights in how important GPUs really are when it comes to inference (ie. not training) when using #AI models? any papers or blog posts going into the cost, complexity, latency aspects to make the case for/against using CPUs where technically possible would be appreciated
I'm not deep into #Javascript but if you are and dealing with more complex apps and/or multiple frameworks might find this proposal for #microcomponents interesting www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/mic...
IMHO useful for larger teams/agencies or companies offering a widget to a wide range of users
Tried to follow as many people I previously followed on Twitter but I guess it is also fine to start slightly fresh here. Hoping this place can become what Twitter once was just better :)
