Kevin was one of the early bloggers I read intensely in the olden times. I miss reading him. His work on lead/crime was ahead of the times.

Most Americans really have no clue how far the US is being left behind.
Important to note these lines will also run thru some of our state’s best resource areas for solar.
Coming to Seattle in June to experience my son’s graduation from SU. Same feels.
The next big thing in power and energy just might be geothermal and Texas is well posiitioned to lead
Here's a snippet of the Energy Capital pod I recorded live with Jamie Beard of @innerspace2030 to talk about why Texas is at the center of the next clean energy boom.
The Texas Senate Business & Commerce will hear Senate Bill 819, which would "use the police power of the state" to restrict private property rights, slow economic growth, reduce energy supply, and raise Texans' power bills, on Thursday.

Inspired by the Austin Stand up for Science rally. Working alongside scientists at EDF has been one of the great privileges of my working life.
#ERCOT has been running at 85% clean today: 75% wind and solar and 10% nuclear. You would have been laughed out of the room if you predicted this 10 years ago. But the smallest interconnection in North America is cranking away at 75% variable resources. Beautiful sight.

Extreme bills in the Texas Legislature could grind the development of wind, solar and batteries to a halt. We need to reject them and pursue balanced approach that allows renewables to continue to grow while mitigating impacts. #txenergy www.expressnews.com/business/art...
Also, I’m going to take this as a sign of positive progress.
I don’t disagree but we have to get through another legislative session in which renewable energy deployment will once again be a target of significant attacks. We barely fought off disaster last session.
Regardless of who’s in the WH, industry can no longer hide its emissions. www.cnn.com/2024/11/27/c...
All true. And the long and fruitless courtship of Collins. But Medicare for All was never on the table and hunting for those elusive R votes was not the reason it wasn’t being served.
I don’t disagree with the overall premise but that’s not how I remember the contours of ACA debate being shaped. It was how do you pass a bill that the 60th most conservative senate D would vote for and medical industry wouldn’t go to war over.
