But structure without trust is just compliance with better acoustics. Freed-up time should go toward rigorous/creative/strategic thinking together, not more output.

Your closing section on quality as the new differentiator is where our thinking really converges. I wrote about this through the lens of Fela Kuti's groove: tight underlying structure + collective internalization = emergent magic.
My argument is: arguing that the real bottleneck isn't capability but articulation: you can't delegate what you can't make explicit. Your talk makes the same case for teams: the bottleneck isn't code production, it's shared context.
I just read the essay/talk and wanted to say thank you. It crystallized something I've been circling for a while. I've been writing about what happens when you treat strategy itself as a protocol: explicit decision logic, written in plain text, readable by people and executable by machines.
I might need to finally watch it, I guess.
@willsh.bsky.social You made me writing something. Or did you?

New essay is up.
On strategy, wrestling and narratives. This one was many years in the making but it ended up needing a visceral reaction to what happened last week in the oval office to get it done.

Asking for a fellow Jew.

Wait till our podcast episode drops on Tuesday. There are alternatives and we need to engage with them more.
I’m neither trying to defend OpenAI’s practices nor say that Altman isn’t a scumbag (which he clearly is) but I’m not sure whether most people who use OpenAI on a daily basis are aware of its origins.
Well, Apple isn’t selling produce or BMW just the engine, so I’m not sure that’s the strongest argument.
What don’t you like about it?
I have one too.
Wow.
Entered a cafe and asked if it’s okay for me to have a 30 min call from there. The proprietor looked at me intensely and asked: “Are you going to undress during the call? Because it happened before and people come with their kids here. We can’t have that.” Berlin❤️.
It’s broadcasting rights, not copyright. They did this to be able to stream the games for free. They obviously own the rights to their own content.
Is it worth it?
Oh man, I’m due to rewatch it as well.
We lost our home and the majority of everything I cared about six years ago (because of a roofer who was an idiot, who’s been ducking legal efforts for recovery since years.)
Doesn’t make me an expert on the subject, but I have some thoughts if they are helpful to anyone who just experienced this.
Die Diskussion lenkt aber irgendwie auch von dem veröffentlichen Inhalt ab?
I’m sure! I am not saying that it’s something that can be easily done or at all but it’s at least something that flows into the calculation.
