It's not for drivers, it's for corporations. Corporations don't require housing or groceries but they do require fuel, and lots of it.

Selling it as being for drivers is using the same logic as the idea that tax cuts are beneficial to average workers.

And it doesn't help that most reporting on the subject (with a couple notable exceptions) is also misinformed.

And even the people whose job is (supposedly) is to inform people on the subject, are ALSO presenting false and misleading info on it.

It's super frustrating to have my field of professional expertise be a topic that the average internet commenter has very strong opinions on. Especially since the vast majority of them have no idea what they're talking about.

I was just thinking the same thing. The number of interactions required to appear significant on local issues would be very cheap to acquire for someone interested in swaying perception of public opinion.

I would say that assuming he's so naive is giving him too much credit.

It's a ruse. He just pretends it's the FB groups, when it's actually lobbying from developers and landlords. Gives a good cover for pushing the chosen narratives.

I like to top it with a 50/50 mix of maple syrup and Thai chili sauce, then either BBQ or bake to desired doneness.

The rule in my car is, backseat drivers have to sit in the back.

That seems unnecessarily fast.

That would get me 400km+ of range in about 2.5 mins of charging.

I really enjoyed 2 Crows' approach to making wildly hoppy beers (Space Words triple IPA was an amazing beer), but I'm not surprised that the wider market wasn't enough to support that model.

Sad to see them go.

Oh sure, anything with orange on top must be a ginger character. I find that offensive!

Ok, but seriously though, I don't see it.

And all for a measly $3.3M annually.

Less than 0.02% of the budget.

The numbers don’t lie: The housing crisis is not caused by a supply shortage - CCPA Financialization, not demographics, caused the cost of housing to explode

But supply isn't the issue.

I would agree that bad land use planning is responsible for overextended and underfunded municipal services, and the associated fiscal unsustainability, but the housing crisis is caused primarily by the financialization of housing, which municipal govs have little to no impact on.

The public library is an essential component of a 21st-century left political project as an example of both what is already available to us and what can be improved upon in the future. The library is a public good, and it is free as a public service.

I want more people to make the connections.
