Well, I'm from Utica, and I've never heard anyone use the phrase "steamed hams. " Oh, not in Utica. No. It's an Albany expression. I see. You know, these hamburgers are quite similar to the ones they have at Krusty Burger. Oh, no. Patented Skinner burgers. Old family recipe. - For steamed hams. - Yes. Yes. And you call them steamed hams despite the fact that they are obviously grilled. Ye- You know, the- One thing I should- - Excuse me for one second. - Of course. Well, that was wonderful. A good time was had by all. I'm pooped. Yes. I should be- Good Lord! What is happening in there? - Aurora borealis. - Uh- Aurora borealis at this time of year at this time of day in this part of the country localized entirely within your kitchen? - Yes. - May I see it? No. Seymour. ! The house is on fire. ! No, Mother. It's just the northern lights. Well, Seymour, you are an odd fellow but I must say you steam a good ham.

Ah yes it's lawnmower and leaf blower season, aka blast drum and bass music with noise cancelling cancelling headphones on to try to drown out the noise.

All of those little social media trends that are "this is who you're asking to do X" are really fun and I genuinely enjoy them, but I can't help but feel nauseas knowing that those photos are almost definitely being used to train some kind of gen AI...

Yes 100%! Yeah I use my watch for tracking sleep, it has a silent alarm feature built in which I dig.

Same here with my phone not being the beginning and end of my day. It's very liberating, even within a day or so of doing this I felt a lot more focused than I did before.

As a PA voter, in hindsight, I'm beyond upset that my choices were Fetterman or Dr. Oz.

This week I started keeping my phone in another room when going to sleep for the night. It's made a huge difference and I highly recommend it. Better focus, way better sleep.

Some of you may know I’ve been dealing with a personal matter over the last week. Most of you do not. I consider myself a very private person but I need to ask for help at this time. Last week, my partner and best friend, Kyle Fraser, suffered from two strokes in a single day. There is a very long and expensive road ahead, and our friends have been gracious enough to help organize a GoFundMe for anyone who wishes to offer their support. For those who don’t know him, Kyle is probably the most compassionate person I’ve ever met. He is as gentle and brilliant as much as he is strong and funny. He loves his two cats Poly and Moog, and adopted them with the explicit intention of ‘which cats are you having a hard time adopting?’ Though he can be reserved and introverted, Kyle has a fierce passion for his career and will always offer a helping hand to anyone in need, often taking calls to mentor professionals beginning their career. I’ve become a better person through knowing and loving him.

I finished reading Project Hail Mary last night. Two thoughts:

1. Very compelling book, it's excellent.
2. I'm very happy I didn't watch any of the trailers before finishing the book...lotta spoilers

Follow up: I think it's hilarious that everyone calls it "X, formerly known as Twitter" and not just "X"

Funny with X fka Twitter embeds on websites is I always think the X is to close the embed, and then I realize it's the logo.
