I don’t get to go to as many Wycombe games as I used to, but since January last year I have been to 11 games, Wycombe are on their 3rd manager in that time, I have seen them win 0 times & witnessed 1 goal, they have scored 1 other goal which I missed in the 90+ in a 2-1 defeat to Luton. I’m a jinx.

Really poor performance in the first half from Wycombe, second half wasn’t much better either but Kone came to the rescue late in the day.
Must do better next week.

On the train up to Manchester for our Fantasy League meet-up. General consensus seems to be no one really cares of the outcome. Watching the game is a yearly tradition so just happy to be catching up with friends, few beers and 🏈 on in the background.
Sad to see a personal favourite of mine leave the club today. A true pro and a fantastic representative of the club both on and off the field.
Wishing him all the best in pastures new 💙
Humble.

Couldn’t agree more with this statement. It’s boring & far too predictable, when playing at home Arsenal don’t get a goal early on the game the panic & frustrating patterns of play working the sidelines and cutting in, opposition teams are wise to it, sit back & tell Arsenal to try break them down.

I’m taking that as an omen for the game tonight!

I’m a Wycombe fan and would just give the heads up the ground is a fair trek from the town and parking is a pain the backside!
But it’s worth it if you sit up in the Frank Adams stand for the view of the football and the Chilterns in the background.
Interesting an exciting new signing for Wycombe this and feels like the first signing of the data driven era. Welcome to Wycombe Anders!

Not a good game at all this, defence allowing Darnold all the time in the world and the Vikings offence the freedom of the field. Very frustrating watch as we just can’t get any momentum.
December was hoping to get to a couple more new stadiums but unfortunately was unable to do so.
Managed to squeeze in a final trip to Wycombe to end the year vs Bolton, which finished 0-0.
Ending the year on 47/92, over halfway there now but some long journeys await in 2025!
November just the 1 ✅ again, long trip up to Deepdale with my old man to see Preston v WBA.
Happy to visit Deepdale having got family ties to the town, come away from the game with a soft spot for PNE.
October with just the one ✅ again with a midweeker down to Brentford in the league cup against Sheff Wed, loved Griffin Park so was keen to see the new stadium.
Highlight of the trip being the grub available in the concourse pre match, banging curry and potato wedges!
September saw another 2-3 result at Pride Park in the away end with Norwich, some interesting calls by the lino and ref in that one made it a bit of a tasty atmosphere.
Once the season started managed to get up to Goodison before it disappears and was in the Bournemouth end of a crazy game which from the 87th min Everton 2 up somehow lost 2-3.
Will be sad to see Everton move as Goodison has great character but can see why the move is needed.
Preseason is always a bit dull but a way to get to see a couple stadiums where tickets are harder to come by, so got to Portman Rd and The City Ground for a couple of friendlies.
Only got to the 1 game in May which was a visit to a packed out St Andrews in their last game of the season at home to Norwich.
Just the 1 ✅ in April with a midweeker away at Cambridge but also a trip to Wembley with Wycombe as well in the Mickey Mouse Pizza Cup.
March was a couple more ✅ with a great trip to Wrexham in the Accrington end, but the game was over by half time, Wrexham won 4-0.
Then on Good Friday an interesting day out at The Den for Millwall v WBA.
February I managed 2 new grounds with visits to Watford v Cardiff (missed the only goal of the game going to get the half time 🍺)
Then finally getting to the London Stadium for West Ham v Brentford having visited Upton Park many a time previously.
January started with a trip to Adams Park, followed by a couple ✅ in the FA Cup 3rd and 4th rounds at the Bet365 (Stoke) and Anfield in The Kop.
Saw 18 goals in 3 games including the highest scoring game I saw this year between Liverpool and Norwich (5-2).
My 2024 match stats, the first year with a real focus of getting the 92 done and I’ve been able to tick off some great stadiums, seeing some brilliant games of football over the year. Month by month breakdown 👇🏻 (1/12)

All huff and puff from Wycombe but just couldn’t get the goal. Bolton didn’t really offer a great deal but Wycombe couldn’t break them down. Onyedinma was excellent and despite not getting chances thought Kone played well. Decent crowd in AP for a Friday night which made for a good atmosphere.
Louis Dunford tickets booked for Ally Pally in April. Can’t wait for that gig. Quiet night at the library, not.
Midweek away at Exeter is about as hard as it gets, so to come away with a point when we were 2 down after 20 mins is a positive result.
Struggling to understand the thought process to allow the race to go on as long as it did with Albon’s mirror strewn on the track, it was inevitable that was going to get hit given the position it was laying in somewhere just off the racing line.
Preston North End 1-1 WBA
Happy to tick off Deepdale today, with relatives who were from Preston it felt like a bit of a pilgrimage today.
46/92
Totally bizarre ending to the Bears/Lions game. Never change Chicago… never change.
