That's how the "Bibi made him do it" narrative is working. Trump voters get to say that it's not his fault, and therefore not their fault for voting for him.
But they all had choices. They all had full information. They all chose to ignore it for egotistical reasons, and here we are.
Trump voters have been repeatedly warned, for a decade, that the man is a sociopathic narcissist who would do something stupid — like start a war with Iran — to boost his own ego.
Now that the warnings were proved true, they want a story about how they are innocent, and it wasn't their fault.
