It's very funny for me that I added all of Season 1 to my watch later on YouTube since I needed new videos, and then days later, here's Season 2's premiere.

This is the one version of the tale in which the glass slipper makes sense.

(I will not wade into the "was it poetic or was it a typo?" debate over Perrault's introduction of glass footwear.)

I appreciate that one of my books' publisher has issued an Opt-In Addendum that I can choose to sign, granting them rights to use my writing for AI training, giving me a small portion of those royalties. I don't appreciate getting 4 emails in a week reminded me to "Opt In" when I don't want to!

Unfortunately, Bluesky is unavailable in Mississippi right now, due to a new state law that requires age verification for all users.

While intended for child safety, we think this law poses broader challenges & creates significant barriers that limit free speech & harm smaller platforms like ours.

Although Stan Lee and Steve Ditko introduced the superhero Spider-Man in a 1962 anthology comic book (Amazing Fantasy #15), the word "spiderman" predates the character.

It's recorded c. 1954 as a word for a steeplejack, a person who scales tall structures to perform maintenance or construction.

That’s it. That’s the whole religion.

The clergy members are teachers and librarians and mentors, and they already hold services anywhere knowledge and experience can be found.

Many hours have passed and I’ve thought about what happened in the Senate some more.

And you know what? I’m still mad as hell.

I may just repost their names every day until everyone knows them by heart.

The first rule in fighting tyranny is to never capitulate in advance. You broke that rule. You are not up to the moment as a leader.

A 1966 commercial for CAP’N CRUNCH produced by Jay Ward (ROCKY & BULLWINKLE).

The iconic cereal mascot was created by Allan Burns (1935-2021), co-creator of THE MUNSTERS and MARY TYLER MOORE.

Burns was a writer for Jay Ward Productions, which did the ads for Quaker Oats from 1963-84. #TVSky

I realize this has more to do with the budgetary and physical limitations of production, but do the Borg have a rule that they only assimilate bipedal sentient races? Would they assimilate a Trill symbiont? A changeling? A cetacean?

Cyndi Lauper, verb, to wear enough jewelry that its banging together can be picked up by the audio, as happened during the recording of "We Are the World" (1985).
