He just came back in the opposite direction with a coffee.

I remember laughing with some fellow patients 6 hours ago about how the Tim’s closed at 11pm and wouldn’t open until 5am. “I’m sure none of us will be here by then”.

A few of us still are.

13 hours. 2 since I had the test I waited so long for. 😭

I really want to go home.

I’ve been here for 10 hours.

Once I’m done here (so, maybe 2-3 hours from now), I’ll go back to the other waiting room to tell the nurses I’m back, and then we’ll wait for the test to be processed, and maybe another couple of hours after that, I’ll know what’s up and can go home.
Or go to surgery.

I miss my cat.

Huzzah. I have been shuffled to a different waiting room where I will wait at least an hour (maybe 2) for the final test I need done.

I’ve been put into an ultrasound room to wait for the tech (could take a while!) and… I’m so happy and lying down and may fall asleep.

There’s another room and I hope I can just go straight into there.

Couldn’t hear the nurse when she called me, and then I couldn’t get out of the seats because of a group of young people had their many bags blocking the floor. I just made a very undignified exit and now I have no idea how I’m going to be able to go back. 😆

No one should have to listen to this nonsense.
Patients should not have to listen to this nonsense.
Patients with sensory issues (🙋🏻‍♀️) should not have to listen to this nonsense.

My rule when I run the world: you can bring more than 1 person with you (less than 3) but nobody gets to use their phone.

I’ve put in my ear buds because there are about 4 folks in this room of 12 people not using headphones with their phones.

I’m sending messages like crazy because I’m alone, and honestly a bit creeped out by the room I’m in. There’s a sign to all doctors reminding them to deliver “dirty speculums” for sanitizing after use. 🥲

The standard “tell us your birthday” question when they call you back had the nurse pause and chuckle. She reassured me that they’ll get me fully rehydrated and fixed up before the weekend. 😆

I am so thirsty but can’t drink anything in case I need to do some imaging. I’m also sitting up in an exam room, dozing off, which is not the most comfortable thing I could be doing.

(I’m not upset. I’m also likely fine and battling a stubborn infection. It’s probably good that I came in.)

So, I’m still running a low-grade fever. The headache left, and I just realized that I didn’t mention the rash yesterday, nor the abdominal (more pelvic, I guess?) pain I’ve been having for a few days. Not severe, but enough to feel and be mad at.

I guess I should hop across the street to the ER.

I've been keeping tabs on rental sites, even though I definitely can't get out of here for a May 1st move in. I think I'm going to pause for a bit because every time I log in to the rental sites, my anxiety explodes. 🫠
