DEI programs ensure my kid has a place in society just like any other human child. They used to lock away kids like him in lunatic asylums, like monsters, for their whole lives. Let’s not go back to that. They said those places were a waste of taxpayer dollars too.

POV: Transphobes don’t care about predators in bathrooms or protecting children. They hate the discomfort of sharing space with someone who doesn’t look the way they think they should. No different than kids who bullied me for my facial differences. Except grown ass adults should fuckin know better

The line, “I’ll just use the marinara,” really stirred up some feelings for me.

As a white girl from the Midwest, the ranch dressing thing resonated deeply with me.

Despite some cringey performances, Studio 666, the 2022 Foo Fighters’ horror comedy holds up to multiple viewings. Favorite parts include the Pearl Jam high five, the Lionel Ritchie cameo, and the thoughtful exploration of Dave Grohl’s relationship with ranch dressing.

I have the same initials as celebrity Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian, who looks like a dentist.

This is my content, people. Deal with it.

I find it difficult to get accurate measurements of really long pieces. For me, 86.5” is more of a suggestion than an actual length 🤣🤣🤣

21 degrees during my drive to work this morning! Warmest in days! Good thing my car didn’t overheat from this balmy weather.

Following Mama (2013) and Hatching (2022), we have another entry in the mother/daughter/bird-creature body horror movie trope: Cuckoo (2024), starring Dan Stevens as a mad German scientist. Five stars.

I did a brief 10-min yoga stretch first thing this morning—first time in a while—winter always makes me cranky and unmotivated. It’s amazing how much even a little bit of body movement can impact my mood. I must get back in the habit.

Powerful reading tonight. Swords and wands. Both the Empress and the Emperor. A reminder to myself to be humble and curious. There will always be new things to learn.

Noble — Campside Media

I listened to this podcast this week. A truly morbid story, it is handled with compassion, tact, and thoughtfulness.

The Advent Calendar (2021) ⭐ 6.3 | Horror, Thriller 1h 44m

I watched this last night for the second time, and it was just as great on the rewatch.
Amazing Christmas horror about disability and sacrifice. Bonus that the monster only speaks German.

I think there’s a parallel to be drawn between the American for-profit healthcare system and slavery, where few are profiting from the pain and suffering of many. It is so blatantly and egregiously immoral. And people die while we argue about fucking economics.

Taissa Farmiga in Final Girls (2015) with big, wet puppy dog eyes.

Observation: the five main characters in this movie are basically Mystery Inc. and Taissa Farmiga is Scooby Doo.

Today marks the 58th anniversary of the most significant/credible sighting of the Mothman by Roger & Linda Scarberry and Steve & Mary Mallette on Nov 15, 1966. Whether it was an alien, a big crane, or some mysterious bird-man, the two couples saw *something* that night that terrified them.

The Magician points to the sky and to the ground as if to say, “As above, so below.” Turning dreams into reality seems like magic, but the Magician knows (and possesses!) what it takes: knowledge (the sword), hard work (the pentacle), drive (the wand), and the support of those around you (the cup).

Mothman content for new followers who came for that. I finally got to visit Point Pleasant, WV this summer. I don’t usually approve of capitalist exploitation, but I don’t hear Mothman complaining about it.

Definitely a Brie! So festive. Then I love a smoked Gouda, and a nice sharp cheddar. Maybe a mild havarti or butter cheese, then a good funky cheese like a blue or Swiss.

The Star represents hope and optimism: a light in the dark. I love this version of this card! It is a reminder to keep faith in times of uncertainty. Think Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin,.” Streetlights, people. It goes on and on and on and on.

The nine of cups represents abundance and satisfaction. Look how happy that rabbit is! He is surrounded by love and comfort. Difficult times make it hard to practice gratitude. Take a moment to appreciate the good things and people around you right now.
