I would have thought children's media would ignore the subject of meat completely but instead every animal mention beyond kitties and puppies are cows, sheep, piggies, chickens... You all teach kids they're soft and fluffy and sweet but then you also eat them!? I do not get it.

Re: the fuel protests. In my opinion, the "Irish Left" (such as it is) is not responsible for how socially conservative and politically ignorant our agri-industry professionals are. This is an effect of how education and economics work here. Hence all the Fianna Fáil voting.
