Okay, Spiderlight was… interesting. Some fun spiderthings that made me laugh out loud. The most dysfunctional party of adventurers - most of them were horrible human beings and I was thoroughly scandalized by how they treated our sweet little spidermonster for most of the book.

I ordered a lot of pretty art for my sad, bare rental walls, and now customs is punishing me for it so hard 😭

Emily and Wendell are a fine duo, and their interactions make me very happy - I really love Wendell's golden retriever energy. Looking back now, I can't believe I didn't actually like Wendell that much when I read the first book, but he really grew on me.

This is a very feel-good series for me, so peaceful and comforting. I adore Emily as a character, and the fairy lore is so interesting. The balance between romance, plot, and character moments is just perfect.

This was supposed to be my take on Little Red Riding Hood who has grown up to be a knight and she doesn't have to fear any wolfs again but instead it looks like a period metaphor lol

I love enemies-to-friends -trope so much. I'm always raging when the enemy is the most awful person on earth and then in the end the protag doesn't even befriend them, what kind of bad writing is that!! I need my villain redemption arcs

The funny thing is, I absolutely dislike making horizontal drawings - not sure why, they just feel difficult

But maybe thinness could win me over

The time period and game making reminded me of the show Halt and Catch Fire (which I watched fully even though I passionately HATED just about every single character) but just with actually good characters and cooler game ideas :D

I got my own copy of Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow so I can finally blog about it a little💜 It's such a beautiful book that has the perfect taste of nostalgia and youth and life. All characters feel like actual flawed human beings with their own complicated feelings and relationships.
