Preorders for Heroescon sketches are still open. I will be donating 25% of my sales from the show to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of my mom. This includes preorders and anything sold at my table at the show as well. So order some art !

We talked to his mom(?)and she was very nice. She works for an American couple and she knows very well our political situation. A candidate here wants to remove most if not all assistance for people with disabilities, so she is knows what we are going through. Comic makers unite!

Turns out a local guy made a comic about him and his other friends all of whom have disabilities. I told them I did comics as well so I bought the comic. Had him sign it an took our picture with him. I then drew a Spidey for him.

Had a cool experience today. Stopped off for coffee an a sandwich before we drove to our next stay. Saw in this cafe a graphic novel. Saw that an illustration on the cover had a character that looked like the young man who made us coffee.

Feels like more and more folks want their grail pieces by the big names. They’ll drop $500 for a sketch done in 30 mins or less by guys. But won’t drop $100 for others that are really good but aren’t A list.

I hear you. Pre Covid I used to be able to cover all expenses for the 1-2 bigger shows I would do in a year. Now the only big one I’m planning for now is Heroes every year for sure. I have a few set up for that show but I’d love to have a few more.

Ok day yesterday. More driving than day before. Went into Modena proper, saw a few comic book stores. Drank Aperol Spritz.

Good afternoon from Modena Italy. Had wine, amazing pasta and out of this world marscapone dessert as well as apple pie tart with homemade ice cream. Pretty good first full day.

Almost 30 hours of travel and we are in our Italian Air BnB. Got amazing takeout sandwiches and now going to crash.
