Today we mourn, we rest.

Then we regroup.

Our community is one of the most resilient in the world not because we should be but we've had to be.

We fight to exist daily of which this is another example.

We may be tired but we will fight for our protection.

Much love ❤️

As the result of the assisted dying vote starts to sink in...I just wanted to send love❤️❤️

To all my Disabled friends and colleagues that fought so hard to try and stop the opening of this Pandora's
Box. I salute you.

Some of our worst fears have been realised. The fight has now changed and goes on

I sadly cannot be at parliament today to protest with my fellow Disabled colleagues I send you all the solidarity I can muster and love and support for all those that find today challenging!

4. Once we open this Pandora's Box there is no going back the goal posts will move and shift over time and I do fear that this is a back door to legalised eugenics.

3. In the current climate where the government is threatening to rip up Disability Support in terms of Benifits it creates a perfect storm of danger for my community.

1. I do not feel the bill is fit for purpose or the protections in it go far enough.

2. I feel with an underfunded NHS leading to inadequate palliative care services mean assisted dying aka assisted suicide will be as a "better option" leading over promotion and use.

Today is another challenging day for many Disabled People as the assisted dying bill is debated and voted on in the UK Parliament. This is a highly emotive issue. Everyone has their opinions. I like many Disabled People am fearful of this bill.

For a number of reasons here’s a list.

Everybody deserves to be safe at work.

Our new Fit to Fly checklist is designed to keep performers safe. It gives aerialists working in small “clip and go” venues the info they need to assess the safety of the flying set up.

Dear Reform local election candidates please know sending me any of your political propaganda 5 bits already wastes the planets resources much like any of your party members / candidates getting any publicity. I’m afraid hating immigrants and privatising the NHS is a no politely do one Thank you

We were at #BAFTAGamesAwards tonight calling on bosses to improve pay & conditions for video game performers through union agreements!

While it’s great to celebrate successes, bosses can’t ignore the poor pay & practices faced by the workforce #EquityGameOn

Just for info the origin of the word Handicapped is debated when it comes to the Disabled community some believe it has links to having to “go cap in hand” and beg for money because of being unable to work ie. Taking your hat off so rich people put money in it. Hence why many find it problematic

Disabled people explain the real cost of Labour's welfare cuts YouTube video by PoliticsJOE

At the Disability Social Security protests in London this week I had a chat with #PoliticsJoe These cuts are still nonsensical, dangerous, and need to be stopped. As I said during my speech representing @equityuk.bsky.social which I might post later. It's time to move from resilience to resistance
