Sketch black in a white notebook. A column with two brancing diagonal beams reaching for the ceiling
Went to the new city library in Wellington yesterday and it was full! People sitting, reading, connecting. Full. Eventually I found a seat but only had time for a little sketch
when can we talk about a social media ban for old people? because it's clearly harming them
Pouring over land rooting expences
Isolating relitigating discarded tree scraps
Forestry scarfing whole communities
Death to life water water water thudding
Away in the bank balance officials backslaps

who are you? what makes you tick?
how can we connect? what is awkward?
who am I? what am I doing?
how can we correct? what is my problem?

The Luxon Govt has systematically undermined NZ efforts to cut climate pollution and reduce fossil fuel use. We now face an energy shock due to high dependence on fossil fuels and a cyclone (made worse by climate change). Time to change course.
Frilly wonder

There’s a limited supply of oil. It’s very expensive and wars are fought for it.
There is endless sunlight. It’s free and no wars are fought for it.
Let’s choose solar.
Our household could donate our bus fare savings to people in need :)
A billionaire can get what they want with one donation to a political party. The rest of us must fight for years to get even the most basic rights recognised. Money destroys democracy, more than any other cause. The first step towards a better world is to stop the rich buying political outcomes.
The point to appreciate here is that it doesn't have to work the way it does in NZ. Billionaires don't have to be given the right to donate $250,000 to political parties or $50,000 to candidates . There doesn't have to be a vast imbalance in funding between conservative and liberal parties
