Thirteen lives lost, hundreds wounded, and $50 billion spent.

This was a war of choice — and we are less safe because of it.

My heart is with the Warner family during this incredibly difficult time.

There are no words for the loss of a child. May Madison rest in peace, and may her memory bring strength and comfort to all who loved her.

Today marks 27 years since 12 students and one teacher were killed at Columbine High School in Colorado.

Congress must work together to pass meaningful gun safety legislation to protect students and prevent these tragedies.

My heart is with the victims, the survivors, and their families today.

Profiting off sensitive national security information is dangerous and unacceptable — but traders are making millions doing exactly that.

I’m calling on Polymarket CEO Shayne Caplan to hand over records of these bets to Congress.

We need answers.

I'm committed to equipping Virginia's first responders with the resources they need to protect and serve our communities.

That's why I was proud to secure $500,000 in federal funding for the Madison County Sheriff’s Office to build a mobile command center.

It was great to hear from students who are leading the charge on climate action at the Student Climate Action Summit at the University of Mary Washington last month.

In Congress, I’m focused on advancing real solutions to protect our environment and build more sustainable communities.

Yesterday, I once again voted in favor of a War Powers Resolution to stop President Trump’s war of choice against Iran.

To this day, the administration has not provided a clear or credible justification for entering this conflict. Congress — and the American people — deserve answers.

It's Black Maternal Health Week.

The United States has the highest maternal mortality rate of any high-income country — and Black women are disproportionately impacted.

Congress has a responsibility to change that. I’m proud to support the Momnibus to improve outcomes and save lives.

Insider trading on prediction markets — especially when it involves matters of national security — is unacceptable.

I questioned CFTC Chairman Michael S. Selig on this issue, pressing for accountability to ensure these markets are not exploited at the expense of America's troops or security.

Today, I once again voted again in favor of a War Powers Resolution to stop Trump’s war of choice against Iran.

This war has already claimed the lives of 13 service members, left hundreds more wounded, and cost taxpayers $35 BILLION.

The House GOP refused AGAIN to vote to end this senseless war.

Nineteen years ago today, the Virginia Tech community endured an unimaginable tragedy when 32 lives were taken and 23 others were wounded in a mass shooting on campus.

Today, we remember those who were lost and stand with the families and loved ones who continue to carry that grief.

Today is a tragic day for the Commonwealth.

I am shocked and deeply saddened by the news involving former Virginia Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax and Cerina Fairfax.

Cindy and I are holding their loved ones close in our hearts, especially their two children, as they endure this unimaginable loss.

I had the opportunity to chat with some incredible students and JROTC cadets. Thank you for the warm welcome.

I was honored to recognize Patrice Summers for 26 years of exceptional service to Prince William County.

I'm thankful for all she’s done for the PWC community — as Chief Elections Officer and as an active member of the SEIU Virginia 512 organizing committee.

Thank you for all you do, Patrice!

It was great to tour Assured Health Home Care, a small business serving Woodbridge and Fredericksburg that provides home care services to Virginians.

I heard directly from the care providers about how recent cuts to Medicare and Medicaid have impacted the accessibility of care for their patients.

Vindman urges timely appointments for mental health care at new VA hospital in Spotsy Congressman: situation is impacting Virginia’s veteran community, with wait times for mental health appointments reaching 88 days in Fredericksburg.

Wait times for mental health appointments at the VA Health Care Center in Spotsylvania have climbed to 88 days, leaving veterans without access to the care they need.

For a year, I've been calling on Secretary Collins to fully staff this facility. Our veterans deserve better.

Yesterday, I toured the 9-1-1 Operations Center at the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

It’s always an honor to spend time with Virginia's first responders and law enforcement professionals.

I'm grateful for their service and commitment to keeping our community safe, today and every day.

Last week, I hosted a roundtable conversation with Latino students at the University of Mary Washington.

I’m grateful to each student who showed up, spoke openly, and trusted me with their perspectives.

Their voices reflect the strength of their communities and the future they’re building.

Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzales should resign. If they don’t, I’ll vote to expel them.

It is clear they have betrayed their oath of office.

My thoughts are with the brave women who have come forward with their stories.

One year ago, I called on VA Secretary Collins to fully staff the VA Health Care Center in Spotsylvania.

On Friday, I sent my fifth letter to the VA — because they still have not explained why Virginia veterans are waiting up to 88 days for care.

Our veterans deserve better.

On Yom HaShoah, we honor the memories of the six million innocent Jews murdered during the Holocaust at the hands of the Nazi regime.

As we honor their memories, we renew our commitment to stand against antisemitism and hatred in all its forms.

Farmers, co-ops, take hit as fertilizer costs spike amid Iran war Farmers are feeling the burn of high fertilizer prices this planting season after a U.S. attack on Iran in late February affected shipments of fuel — which is used to make fertilizer — coming through the Strait of Hormuz.

Corn is one of the top crops grown in Virginia, earning farmers nearly $300 million annually.

Some farmers are choosing not to plant corn as rising fertilizer costs make it difficult to turn a profit.

Virginia’s farmers don’t deserve the rising costs that come with this administration.
