Yea, sometimes I wish I was a kind of animal that can just completely freak out and scream without much worry. Just scream til tired - then nap.
I've never even been to Threads. I think the best way to interact with that site is through the stories from people who tell you not to go there.
Like a haunted forest, but not fun.
Also, typos wouldn't matter so much if posts weren't sticking around. It's not like I'm carving a rune stone to commemorate that the weather was quite nice (or "ncie" or something) today.
I mean, most interactions between humans are just in passing. Having a chat about something and if you don't remember it later it's gone. The way the internet keeps everything must be, like, something our brains aren't really used to deal with, right?
I could start deleting things manually but that's just a lot of work sometimes. And a bit strange on a platform where almost no one else does it.
I kinda wish there was a social media platform, similar to Bluesky maybe, where all posts were deleted automatically after a set time. Letting things be in the moment. Less weight. Less importance. Just chill.
That image doesn't look like a real shirt, right? But it's a rather nice design.
This is interesting to listen to. Nine out of these are not bird sounds I hear where I live. Similar ones in some cases but not identical, and some not similar to anything at all.
But the pigeons sound the same.
Yea you know what? I'm not even using perfumed stuff but that could be something.
The whole "remember this photo from a year ago?"-thing some apps do isn't always very fun either.
One thing about posting stuff online is that it comes with time stamps - so I can see how many days ago I mentioned something I intended to do but hasn't yet done.
I forget about it every year somehow but yea, the warm weather and not needing heavy jackets and boots etc to take a walk also comes with being tired from hay fever and/or the antihistamines. Because both the allergy AND the medicine makes you tired.
But the warmth and sun is nice anyway thou
POLLEN SEASON HATH BEGUN
I hate old masking tape.
Better too many ideas than no ideas! But I still did the very human thing and ended up doing none of them.
Thank you!
There are many things I want to try to sculpture but they each take so long to finish that I can't decided which one to try first.
Wanting too many things and getting stuck in between them.
Honestly though, revenge stories from pets' perspectives could have potential.
Though the worst is when all manus and such are hidden even though there's plenty of space for them, so I have to mouse over everything all the time with most of the browser window is being plain white and empty anyway.
I don't have a tiny, vertical screen where I only can see one thing at a time. It's fully possible for me to get an overview with a grid version. Give it to me like a newpaper with columns, please.
Hadn't been very active on social media for a few months and immediately when I get back to checking the sites and doing the rounds I once again remember how much I don't like the "one line, scrolling through posts"-UI. The way the web versions of everything is made the same as for a phone.
A small clay figure. It's a skeleton but with only it's skull and rib cage, with purple tentacles and some kind of beige sack sticking out underneath. It's standing on those purple tentacles.
The same skeleton thingy, but showing it's back, which is open with inner organs showing. But not in a very gruesome way. The colours are very simple and quite dull.
This little guy from last year needs some added acrylic paint. Brightening up those colours and making his insides more shiny. Not sure what I'll do with the outside though. Maybe I don't have to do anything.
If I was smart I'd start painting this one to try it out, before doing the ones I like more. I'm not going to do that though.
A simple clay figure. It looks a little bit like a seal with a small horn and three eyes.
I didn't really like this one but if I paint it and decorate it with colours and flowers maybe that could give them a needed glow-up.
And dots and spots perhaps. I had a plan once but have forgotten it I think.
A plain, brown clay figure, sculpted like a face in a hood. It has a cartoonish face with large eyes and large teeth in it's upper jaw, cover the lower lip.
Trying to decide how I want to paint these eyes. Slit pupils? vertical or horizontal? Huge pupils? Red, yellow, green, blue, brown? Tiny black dots? Not sure.
A small clay sculpture of a face. It's in a brown clay, fired and finished but unpainted.
Same clay face but turned a bit to the side. The photo is sharper but everything's also darker.
One of the things I plan to paint. Somehow everything I take photos of today turn out blurry - even when the phones camera does it's "focus on face" thing. Well, that or a bit too high contrast.
I don't have a wet palette right now but can easily make one when I need it. And I am going to use one even with the acrylic medium because it still dries out fast.
I have acrylic paint.
I have acrylic medium.
I have brushes.
I have objects I want to paint.
Now all I need is the courage to start.
Was fully prepared to simply blame Bsky for not loading properly yesterday but as it turns out there was a bigger problem that affected more sites across the web.
A good reminder that the internet is not a real place, that it is fully constructed and more vulnerable than it sometimes seems.
