A black and white comic, three panels stacked one on top of the other with white gutters. In the top panel, a toad looks questioning as a balloon from off panel exclaims, "You poor creature!" In the middle panel, the toad looks quite literally the most crestfallen I've ever seen a face as the balloon from off panel says, "It must be so hard..." And in the last and bottom panel, the toad lights up, stars appearing around their head, warmed by the words in the balloon from off panel that continues, "...being the most beautiful toad in the world!"

was recently reminded of one of my all-time favorite bits of sequential acting, drawn by Natalya Lobanova

I heard about this recently in passing recently and it floored me. I genuinely had no idea.

Thank you! He's my 10 yr old baby - hoping we can help him get a few more good years.

Thank you! He did a really good job - I was worried he'd be stressed out and the treatment would be too hard on him but he was really chill the whole time!

Just need to watch and make sure no bad reactions but so far he's his normal happy self.

Thank you! I'm really glad he handled the first treatment so well. I was worried because how do you explain to a dog that the chemo IV is good for him. But he was super chill the whole time.

This is maybe one of my favorite videos of all time I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched it and I still die every single time.

He's happily chewing on a bone so he's done better today than I have - he's a good boy. I'll pass along the smooches.

Indy was a good boy at his first chemo treatment. Didn't need to be sedated or anything.

Close up on a springer spaniel spaniel. He's sitting and leaning slightly towards the camera. You can see just the tip of his tongue.

We just got back from Indy's first chemo treatment. Took it like a champ - everyone agreed he was a good boy. Wish us luck!

It's been 20 years now but I am 100% sure some of the things my Ukrainian friends were trying to get me to try weren't really legit and they were all fucking with the 20 yr old American.

I lived with a family in Chernivtsi Oblast for a few months and then in Volyn Oblast. Both families loved it. I'd rather eat salo.

It was early in my first year in Ukraine and my Ukrainian wasn't great - my poor host mom was trying to explain and I was just standing there going ??????

Kholodets was my host sister's favorite food when I lived in Ukraine. The worst!!!

I lived in NW Ukraine for a couple of years and came home to my host mom's house - carp in bathtub for a few weeks. I was really not expecting it at all.

I always thought Sun Tzu's "Art of War" was a little simplistic and obvious but it turns out yes, you do literally need to tell the Secretary of War "you need to feed your troops and keep them from being wiped out by preventable diseases"

American folklore. You have Paul Bunyan who chopped down whole forests. You’ve Johnny Appleseed who grew those forests back. And of course you’ve got stories of a girl who cried a river that drowned the whole world and while she looks so sad in photographs you absolutely love her when she smiles 🎶🎵

The vet gave us 1 to 2 months if we do nothing - the wait to find out what we can do for him has been rough.
