I'll probably make a larger post with a more pieces but for now here's what I've been working on. This idea is inspired by my everyday surroundings walking around the city, think I'm gonna re-do the concrete base a bit but I'm happy where it is as a whole so far.

was working on a different idea then it turned into this creepy hallway thing idk I might add more to it but I'm happy I made something again
Were back to doing daily prompts! Todays was "sound system" and I immediately thought of the jellyfish rave in SpongeBob. So happy with how this turned out
oh also heres some more cutting room floor stuff like the obstacles and interactables that didnt make it in plus some of the stuff I forgot to post like the floor tiles
Ill probably make a longer post about the experience/the lessons learned but to sum it up it was one of the best weekends of my life. I was beaming all day Sunday on like 8 hours sleep in 2 days and had such a blast making something with my team! So thank you Chase, John, Eliot, Joe, and Antoine!
Finally on the final day we had to make some hard decisions on cuts to get the game done including removing the flavor text, cutting interactable objects meant to distract the teachers, some sound effects for said interactables, but what was left was a fun little experience! that you can play here!
Then as we worked into the night the pathing system was finished and I started to place and clean up the level making all the dimensions correct and adding in the art to make it look better and at this point it started to take shape
Day 2 was then building the level inside of unity. This was my first time doing this and was incredibly anxious about it but through the support of my teammates I made the first rough build of the level which looked like this (I was still trying to figure out how to do the floors lmao
Originally had a plan to have a system where you can talk to certain kids and staff for jokes and advice on how to navigate the room but we ran out of time however Im gonna work on getting it back in in my free time! Heres a link to the story notes and the 16 jokes I wrote that didnt make it in lmao
characters cont....
Once we had an idea of who did what I started right away with making all the sprite faces for everyone in the room so I immediately got to work on all the voice lines and the sprite faces for everyone. These were broken up into 4 categories. Happy kids(Blue), Angry kids(red), Staff, named characters
I was tasked with writing the story, doing most of the art, and the main level design. Here's the draft I did of the level we ended up building along with some of the cutscenes I drew
The Jam theme was Bubbles! So me and the team went through a few ideas. The first was a platformer where the player would be bouncing on their bubble butt but that was ultimately scratched for a stealth game involving your own and others personal bubbles.
Hey gang haven't done a daily post but its for a good reason. Last weekend I participated in the 2025 Philly Game Jawn hosted by @phillygamemechs.bsky.social ! It was an incredible experience, I learned so much in the 48 hours I spent at Indy Hall so this thread is some of the stuff I worked on!
Todays prompt was "a board game". I decided to make the sorry board. Played this so much as a kid with my sister and we loved to knock over each others pieces and yell "SORRY"
Finished just under the wire! Todays prompt for 1/21/25 was mesa! No I totally didn't need to look up what a mesa is why would you suggest that?
Okay so I'm a dumbass and didn't realize I already posted Saturdays one SORRY. So here's yesterday's (random pokemon generator) and today's ( Fantasy Creatures at a job interview). Feel free to post in the comments "why did you delete last post?"
Im behind on my daily posts so heres the one I made for yesterday 1-18-25. The topic was magnify
Its free draw Friday! For some reason Mario 64 was on the mind so I did the Bob-omb Battlefield room
Didn't bother to look up todays prompt. Rest in power David Lynch
Todays prompt was maintenance hatch so I decided to draw the PECO man hole covers you can see all around the city. I love the design of these so much and it was a fun challenge to recreate. Go Birds
Missed yesterdays prompt so were doing double duty today with Pirate (yesterdays) and Pasta! (Honestly not happy with how pasta turned out but I already started school this week so ive had way less time to do things lmao)
Today's Prompt was a dog breed but instead I drew a Eagles helmet go Birds
Todays daily art prompt for 1/11/25 was "switch". The first thing I thought was the buttons on top of @gamechangershow.bsky.social
podiums so I drew those and the set! If you don't already have a dropout subscription I cannot recommend it enough. For game changer alone its worth it
Today's prompt was free draw Friday so I drew MGS 1 snake sneaking around in his box
Todays prompt was "A well loved book" so I went with one of my favorites growing up Batman Year One! Really happy with how this turned out hopefully one day when I'm even better at this ill revisit this one but happy for my first attempt!
Todays prompt for 1/8/25 was Ducktails which is a show I've never have watched lmao however I remembered the older duck has a bunch of gold coins so I made this like pile of coins thing idk enjoy?
Going to start doing daily art prompts to practice everyday. Today's prompt was Joy! Also if anyone on here knows any good bluesky accounts for prompts or daily challenges id love to know. Thanks!
Been playing a lot of MGS 5 for the first time in a while and man it is just the best
