Reading a new John Connolly / Charlie Parker novel is always one of the literary highlights of the year. Like meeting up with an old friend you haven't seen for a couple of years for a drink. I love these books. All 23 of them.

Mexican psych band SUNSET IMAGES at the Strongroom last night. Brilliant three piece who make enough noise to rival a jumbo jet taking off. Loved checking out the guitar distortion pedals. Beauty at work!
