Reading a new John Connolly / Charlie Parker novel is always one of the literary highlights of the year. Like meeting up with an old friend you haven't seen for a couple of years for a drink. I love these books. All 23 of them.

Nice. Read a couple of her YA thrillers. Verse novels in horror are quite rare, so should be a good read.

Here's my first review for a new website called GENRE BUZZWORD, run by Rich Duncan who has been involved in horror reviewing for many years. This is a rerelease of Dan Coxon's excellent Folk Horror collection

Nice. There is a kind of Mothman story in this, which takes in the area where the bridge collapsed.

Nice. My 20 year old has graduated from my YA horror recs onto my adult recs. Horror runs in the family I guess.

Mexican psych band SUNSET IMAGES at the Strongroom last night. Brilliant three piece who make enough noise to rival a jumbo jet taking off. Loved checking out the guitar distortion pedals. Beauty at work!

Nice! You'll love it. Even if has a pony in the title, another dog has a big part, the wonderfully named OkayDokey....

Olivia's second novel THE SHADOW PONY is even better. Loved them both, pitch perfect Middle Grade.
