There is not a bandwagon that "Honest Bob" won't jump on right now, it is very obvious he fancies himself as Badenoch's successor. I don't think he realises though he can't court the far right reform supporters and at the same time attack one of their idols.

Sadly, that is going to be the sentiment that suppresses the vote sufficiently for Reform to grab a foothold.

Labour need to up their game or else we are going to be seeing goons disappearing people from the streets of the UK for being rude about Herr Farage

I think Starmer made a serious miss step there. Made himself look foolish.

They can kiss away, but it's Starmer's job to stand up to Trump. He tried tickling Trumps belly and we ended up with Tariffs.

Time to revolk the state visit.

Watch this space, Starmer is so weak when it comes to Trump... He begs for crumbs.

"Honest Bob" knows fine well that this will not happen. So this is nothing but a publicity stunt from a corrupt MP.

Don't give him the oxygen of publicity. He is a vile individual who will court the far right by punishing asylum seeking children in his pursuit of power.

Because it's fun to hate on minority groups for some.

Because the far right promote it as a wedge issue.

Because some feel threatened the same way they feel threatened by gay people. They are suppressed sexually and secretly turned on.

It's no surprise the volume of trans porn being consumed.

1 year ago 0 0 1 0

Yes. But that doesn't make it untrue that a large portion of the population thinks it's OK to spew hatred, and those people are teaching their kids the same.

I didn't mention MAGA. Whilst these attitudes are certainly prevalent in the MAGA cult, they are not exclusive to that group.

Half the population is educating their sons. They are teaching them to hate, to other and to assault trans kids. They aren't doing this on the quiet, look at social media, these people are proud of themselves.

Trans activists assume men will be hostile because that is the reality they see.

US can never be trusted again regardless of who is in power. Why make an agreement when the next administration will just tear it up.

Best for the world now to isolate the US. We can do better without thankyou. Time to restructure the world economy.

got me!

I think that is what we outside of the US just refer to as American food.

It's why we don't buy their products, unfit for human consumption.

You are probably right, but I lack the imagination required to fathom what that quirk might be.

Yep that one raises an eyebrow. I'm not a raving right winger, but if state support is sufficient to fund a private school education.... we are giving them too much state support.

I do not believe this can be true.

The OP is correct, no-one I have seen is challenging the conviction, those that oppose the sentence ignore the severity of the crime because if they acknowledge it, they can't then criticise the severity of the consequences.

Not sure they are, timeline doesn't look that toxic. I think they just became invested in their opinion and are being a bit immature about it.

Searching for balance is admirable, just not when there is no balance to be found there. The consequences for stealing €1m+ can only be severe.

I have been following Thunderf00t on youtube for years now. I would not buy a Tesla purely based on how much of a shyster Musk is and apparently always has been.

The Nazi stuff just seals the deal.

The problem with Starmer's position is he only gets a deal if he caves into Trump. But Trump only ever sees capitulation as weakness and like every bully, he will always exploit weakness.

So Starmer's only position is unfortunately to show strength, even though that hurts the UK. Starmer is weak

The Lib Dems abandoned the centre left vote in 2010. Anyone on the centre left who trusts them is either a first time voter or has suffered some form of blow to the head in the last 15 years.

In a hung parliament they will join the Tories again. You want Badenoch, vote Tory.

Look, you are clearly not smart enough to deal with a different opinion without resorting to childish insults. You people amuse me, so I am happy to continue discussing providing you can grow up.

One more though and you get blocked.

It may be morally wrong, but it is also factually wrong. She was caught embezzling millions of Euros. If you are caught stealing millions, you should receive a very heavy consequence. That is the rule of law.

I like the original OP have seen no-one challenge the conviction.

1 year ago 2 0 1 0

Yes. But that does not mean we have to do so. If one perspective is blatantly wrong, we are not obliged to acknowledge it.

Now if you are finished patronising me, you could just answer the question.

Ah whataboutism.

Any corruption when provable should be prosecuted. But to imagine that the only solution is to dismantle a political and trading union... If we apply that logic to all structures where corruption occurs, we would have to resort to anarchy.

Yes. I read all of your lines.

Did she embezzle millions of Euros or not?

1 year ago 3 0 1 0

The crime involved millions of Euros...

We are not talking about shoplifting a couple of packets of bacon here.
