Currently replaying King Kong via Xbox BC (only playable via disc.)

I think it was the first game I played on my Xbox 360 over 20 years ago. It was pretty incredible and quite the 'next-gen' experience along with PGR3 & Condemned.

Its a little archaic today but still a fun game.

Twenty years ago today, Microsoft acquired Lionhead Studios.

The studio led by Peter Molyneux, had proven itself with unique games like Black & White, Fable & The Movies.

Microsoft doubled down on Fable with Lionhead developing multiple sequels & spin-offs before closing in 2016.

Quantum Break is 10 years old today.

Released April 5, 2016 on Xbox One & PC.

Super ambitious game from @remedygames, aiming to blend a time travel story game with a live action TV show.

Highly impressive Northlight visuals blended with action packed shooting. Deserves more love!

Absolutely crazy console generation.

I paid €470 for PS5 Disc Slim in February 2024.

Middle and lower class incomes will be priced out of console gaming at this rate, while it used to be an affordable entry into the world of videogames.

Unsustainable if this trend continues.

Looks like a price increase is coming soon for PlayStation 5 consoles in Europe, according to French retail sources.

• PS5 Slim Disc: €650 (was €550)
• PS5 Pro: €900 (was €800)
• PS5 Portal: €250 (was €220)

A massive €100 price increase. Official PR is expected soon.

Its now been 10 days since Marathon launched.

The game seems to plateau around 50k-60k concurrent players on Steam, which is slightly below Helldivers 2 & Battlefield 6, but above Call of Duty.

I'm curious how PlayStation views the launch, which wasn't huge, but holds steady.

Nobody Wants to Die is a very impressive indie game.

Production values are kinda insane and it runs very smoothly on consoles at 60fps too.

Yes, its a walking sim, but its an interesting mix of Blade Runner, LA Noire and Altered Carbon.

Approximately 50% of total unit sales are from PC sales, and Capcom expect this ratio to continue increasing.

Capcom plans to "further strengthen our PC development framework" and the technical lessons learned from Monster Hunter Wilds "will be applied to future title development."

Resident Evil Requiem is off to a very strong start on Steam.

The game has reached 291k concurrent players peak, easily beating the 168k record of Resident Evil 4 Remake.

It will likely go even higher over the weekend. More success for Capcom!

The new Prologue DLC for Neva is a fantastic addition to the already incredible base game. Insane value at just $2.99 for the DLC.

If you haven't played it already, now's a great time to jump in. The art and music are spectacular on my OLED and Atmos setup.

Support your indies!

Sony closing Bluepoint in a way puts even more pressure on Marathon to deliver commercially.

You can already tell by the comments on the awkwardly timed Marathon post just now.

Somehow I fear it won't be the breakout hit that Sony thinks it will be.

For the year 2025, revenue for PAYDAY 2 was up 20% YoY while PAYDAY 3 revenue declined 8% YoY.

Many consumer electronics manufacturers 'will go bankrupt' by the end of 2026 thanks to the RAMpocalypse, Phison CEO reportedly says This could go on for another 10 years.

Jesus....

"..memory manufacturers are now "demanding three years' worth of prepayment (unprecedented in the electronics industry)" and that those same manufacturers "internally estimate the shortage will last until 2030 or even for another 10 years."
